Wish i would have watched this video when i could see😂. Lol jk, i came just to say a warning i just learned testing my first auto dark welding helmet. Do not test with a 20,000 lumen flash light! I learned something today, my little 700 lumen worked just fine for some reason. But the 20k flashlight got me and my visions been weird for the last 15 minutes. I found out not all led flashlights emit UV so there for that must be why the auto dark didnt work. I mean it sometimes got it to darken but it would change back to clear quickly. The tv remote worked, shoot even the its self tv worked to set off the auto dark.

This type of narration is effective which creates a focus before you know the video is over and I have learnt without even knowing!! Bravo!

Worst hood I've ever seen on a N series tractor.
@wesleyattawayАй бұрын
To anyone wondering as I was, the carriage bolts/nuts are optional. The E100 series (and D, I think…maybe others as well) is still able to open the hood all the way with the bumper in place. So if you wanted to use the nuts/bolts for a more solid connection (perhaps reduce potential rattling?), you might opt to use those. However, it appears some versions of John Deere tractors/mowers for which this bumper is also intended are NOT able to open the hood all the way with the bumper attached, and thus, the clevis pins may be the preferred option if you expect to need to open your hood frequently, or when you don’t have a wrench handy for removing the nuts/bolts.

the spindle shaft fell out and the threads are totally stripped. We have the same mower except we have the smaller 30 inch deck (we needed a little one to fit through the shed door). Do we just replace the spindle like in this video?

Good video and makes me want to buy a different brand thats easier to work on. My old John Deere LA 115 needed the transmission belt replace and it was easier, even if i had to pull the steering wheel shaft out of the way. With John Deere moving manufacturing to Mexico in the next couple of years, I'm leary of getting any more of their products.

Rust can be converted and encapsulated. I am gonna paint my 9n with a brush on the engine, tranny, diff axle housings with a brush but first use a rust converter afte wire brush prep. Not planning full restoration or i would paint during the process to avoid having to strip another thick layer. NO way

I spent 5 minutes trying to find the lock button on this same saw. It's a freebie hand-me-down so instead of spending money on a new saw that does the same thing, I figured I'd put a ten dollar blade on it and call it a day. Impact took it right off but I was hesitant to tighten it back that way since it's old and I don't have thread dies to fix the screw. Hand tight and a quarter seems good to go.

I appreciate your video. My drive belt slipped down off the idler pulley. I don't need to replace it, just slip it back on but that guard plate is preventing me from doing so. Will it be possible to just drop deck to lowest position, then remove engine pulley keeper rod then remove engine pulley to separate from that guard plate.... reseat drive belt back on pulley and then rebolt it back in place, then reattach engine pulley keeper rod?

You asked for comments. I would love to get something educational from your video. But I cannot glean anything from it. You might ask why? Because every time I am ready to look closely and connect the visual with your words, you run the video on such an extreme fast forward that no one's eyes can take it in. It's like trying to focus on a weed whacker string while it is running full speed! PLEASE! Go back and re-edit your video and let us actually SEE.

While my coupler works fine the fitting that secures it to the shaft has come loose causing it to shake at the joint. I’d like to fix this before I break the shaft and have a bigger problem. Any suggestions?
