I know this was 3yrs ago but i have a 504 that the pump screams and has for years. The collector guys say its sucking air and that the pump tube oring is shot. My hydraulics works fine other than the scream. When the filter freezes up in the winter its quiet lol but what was your outcome on this. My guess is you had a bad o ring and the pump blew up from to much air

After replacing the pump it is very quiet after changing the fluid several times to flush out all the water contamination. These tractors are 60 years old now, and alot of them are still limping along with the original hydraulic pump that barely works but won't completely quit. We also have a 504 with loud hydraulics, probably suffering from the same problem of an ancient pump that should be replaced but it's still working so don't want to spend the money on a new one yet

I’m looking at buying a 1960 IH utility backhoe. I believe it’s a 460 utility with a cab….. The hydraulics are soft I’m wondering if a tractor requires a larger pump to run a loader and backhoe or does it Use the same stock unit?

You do know if you would have did the same process but put it in a 5 gallon black bucket with 1/3 leaf mold and 3/4 filled distilled water(stir it when ever u remember to), if you keep this on a heating mat 75-85F it would all turn into liquid fertilizer in three to six months( pure liquid Gold all purpose fertilizer 1/4 ratio in water or less to feed or foliar ), I used a large 55 gallon trash can filled 1/3 with Leaf mold, 2L of molasses, 5 pounds of shrimp or crab meal, 5 pounds of fish meal or grinded up whole fish or leftovers after cleaning them or 2 pounds of blood meal, 5 pounds crushed-up bone meal or fish bone meal into a fine powder dumped in the pot also, 10 pounds of grass clippings, 5 pounds seaweed/kelp and a cup of ful-power-fulvic-acid, a half to 1/4 cup = 4-8 tablespoons of sea-90, 5 pounds of rock dust or more, all this stuff will totally break down into liquid when it's done ( use this fertilizer at 1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons into a gallon of water gives me a ppm of 500 using R.O water) . It made so much fertilizer I give it away to my friends for their organic grows,, we haven't bought fertilizer for over 10 years now, just ingredients every once in awhile from the feed store or the beach etc etc...

I'm thinking throw it in my juicer after 7 days to extract the maximum amount of liquid. $3 a lb. for brown sugar you want the maximum amount you can get.

Do you need to drop the hydraulic oil to change the filter? In other words does the filter compartment hold back the hydraulic oil from the main pan?

You do have to drain the fluid before removing the filter housing. The fluid level is well above the filter
@jameszahn3474
@jameszahn3474 Жыл бұрын
No, you do not need to drain the whole system,the filter compartment is isolated from the transmission housing. You will lose about one quart of fluid when removing the filter as shown in the video.

Nor is it 3/8, I have yet to figure out what it is, I believe when you remove the other two drain plus it removes all the fluid regardless.

Hello. Got a ? About a Farmall 460 tractor a friend of mine has. Due to some health reasons, they asked me to do an oil change for their 460 tractor. Changing the oil I can do but since I haven't worked on their tractor, I was wondering if you could answer some ?s I have... (1) where is the oil filter located? (2) what does this oil filter actually look like? Is it similar to oil filters on a vehicle or is it completely different? (3) what kind of oil can I use I'm it? Is Rotella 15w40 safe to use? I have good unused Rotella 15w40 left over so I was wondering if I could just use that? (4) about how many quarts should their tractor take before and after running it for a few minutes? Thank-you ahead of time to anyone who replies.

Is the noticeable flicker on your one cmh bulb caused by a bad ballast, bulb, or timer?
@rollinggreenacres6726
@rollinggreenacres6726 2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure it was just a video effect, it happens alot with HID lights with ballasts. Sometimes shows up in pictures as horizontal lines across the screen, I never had any problems out of my CMH setups other than old bulbs burning out

@@rollinggreenacres6726 i had visible flicker once, thinking it was from a worn out mechanical timer, I since tossed or the phantom ballast that my shop took care of. I've only seen it happen once. Keep no tilling it. Peace

Typically you make fpj from the growth tips of the plant taken during dew point when they are most bioactive. Thus harvesting and reproducing the active growth hormones and enzymes only in the active growing parts of the plant, the leaves are not really growing much, mainly just solar panels and lungs, but the growth tips have the most active growth hormones and enzymes for making fpj, but you can also use seed sprout tea for the same effect. Not the same endogenous enzymes but most plants are very similar as what they eat from the soil and air, and the biomimicry of cannabis is epic, its like a mushroom it absorbs whatever flavors that are near it. Nothing like some northern cali pinene!

Is it a must to drain all fluid? How much would you lose if you didn't drain first?
@rollinggreenacres6726
@rollinggreenacres6726 5 ай бұрын
I would recommend if you're spending the time and money to replace your hydraulic pump then you need to do a complete fluid and filter change also. The fluid on these old tractors gets pretty nasty, so if you want your new pump to run well and last long then keep clean fluid in your system
