I’m Iraqi and people mistake me with Palestinian/Jordanian because our dialect is completely different from the rest of Iraqis. Literally no one believes I’m Iraqi, like my parents, grandparents and great grandparents are all iraqis. Iraq has more than 10 dialects besides languages. For me I didn’t understand anything Hamza said, we say taqiyeh for hat, if someone comes to me and tells me shafqa I would have no clue of what they’re saying. Or shatal, I really don’t know where these words are coming from but we say shoka.
