You're always a typhoon of joy! Even though I don't learn Arabic, I'm a linguistic 'nerd', and this short insight in your mother language is mind-blowing! Thank you for the video!

@Justin Y. بما إنها فلسطينية من الشمال (هاللي على فكرة, الجليل) بس هي بتعلم اللهجة الفلسطينية. انا متأسف اقولك هيك بس ما رح بيكون مجلد لللهجة الصومالية Since she's a Palestinian from the north (which is by the way Galilee) , she only teaches Palestinian Arabic I'm Sorry to say but there won't be a version of Somali Arabic.

Shukran Jazeelan!!! I love watching your videos because I have learned a really good amount of Arabic to communicate with my girlfriend and her family when I want to in Arabic. She is Palestinian and Lebanese so her dialect is not that known to commonly used sites. I literally go to watch your videos when I want to find out how to say something rather than Google translate or anything like that. I only use it to correct my pronunciations after listening and taking notes of your work in your videos. I enjoy all of your content and you have made learning Arabic very easy for me! Allah ya fik!

Yes katarina, Why not! it's already used in these languages and in many of them without necessarily having a religious connotation: Persian, Turkish , Urdu, Maltese , Greek cypriot, Bulgarian, Macedonian and Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, and others. But it's used with different spellings and pronunciation. Inshalla literally means , God Willing ie, I Hope, or hopefully, and probably other meanings depending on the context. Inshalla this helps! 😊 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inshallah.

I live in Israel, and here some Arab citizens say G instead of Q, like Garib instead of Qarib(closer). I think, it's more common among the Bedouins. In north it would be A", like what you've mentioned. Albi - Qalbi.

@kiril1
@kiril1 3 жыл бұрын
@laila H But there was no country Palestine. Like no country Israel, Jordan, Pakistan. Those countries are new entities, from about 100 years ago, part of British Empire and Othmanic empire. Palestine is a big historical area, on which today we have the states Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, and Palestinian territories. Is it new for you? And no, it's not good to colonize people. Did I answer your question?

Interesting that Sabra in Hebrew derives from the same fruit. The logic is that the fruit has a tough covering...the word in Hebrew means an Israeli, the person needing to be tough to survive.
