I was listening to the radio that night, the Hayride was my favorite Saturday night live shown. However before Elvis was though the radio signal faded out to w quiet whisper. I was in my grandpas radio Shack listening on his HAM radio rig.I lived in Pennsylvania out near Harrisburg then.

Too bad Elvis didn't write "That's Alright Mama." Arthur Crudup invented it👍
@elvisontour_fanclub5 ай бұрын
True...Elvis didn't write any lyrics (apart from a contribution in "Love me Tender")...his music drew first from the Soul and Blues tradition and then from the folk rock tradition of the 70s. But his charisma and his voice made him a unique and brilliant interpreter. I remember that Simon and Garfunkel saying they would never perform "Bridge Over the Trouble Water" live again because Elvis' version was unmatchable. And I think the same can be said of many other songs (without taking anything away from the immense talent of their authors)... first of all "That's All Right, Mama"...☺

@@elvisontour_fanclub Arthur Crudup made "That's alright." Elvis was controlled by his dad's decisions. He wasn't a free thinker. It's alright, technology is not overcorrecting who the "King of Rock n Roll." Meaning Google Search. Younger generations don't really care if the image sticks or not. It's literally dy.ing in front of me

Everything great about Elvis was in this song: Charisma, mystique, intrigue, earthiness. This song always made me stop in my tracks and listen to the amazing vocal styling that put you in awe of the man. Love you, Elvis.

Beautiful voice and charisma, look at how much he had, he didn't need that Autotune garbage, this is a worthy and beautiful talent, even hearing him sing, it feels as if it were current, I'm being fans of Elvis and yes, he was perfect, a teacher in music and he was The best thing in this world I feel that if I could travel in time I would like to meet him is that every day I fell more in love with him and what I liked was his kindness with people he always loved his fans and he was adorable with everyone too besides charismatic he was fun and funny I hope the kids of my generation listened to the cute and great Elvis I love him very much!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
