I dislike it a lot after playing games. Ct's can take full mid control in literally like 10 seconds. And regain it even quicker. CT side is almost unbeatable now :( sucks

So let me get this straight, this snap tap is possible without it being just the keyboard? Which is known as a null bind? Do you get banned from that if you're playing faceit? Because it should be none or all, not an in-between, or I'll learn how to force it into my wooting keyboard and cope that it's a feature.

I tried this feature on my hunstman, and honestly, didn't like it. I have been counter strafing for what, 20 years??? It felt so weird and I had to get used to feeling when I need to press the keys because its actuation is so fast, it threw me off. I tried null binds a very long time ago and felt the same way. Does it make counter strafing better? Yes. Is it going to be used by Pro's? Probably not, because they will have to relearn thousands of hours of muscle memory. Not saying some won't, but, you still have to learn when and how to press what key to get the result you want (0 velocity) and you still need to be able to hit your shot. Just because you counter strafe better doesn't mean that you aim better, how many times do you counter strafe perfectly 100% on the persons head? You still do micro adjustments, etc. Over all, its just a different feel. As far as KZ and movement? No idea, never bothered.

Its a macro, macros would get you banned in most games or will be disabled if the game detects it for example Valorant

Wooting now has this feature as well. Just because hardware does it instead of your pc doesnt make it any different. Either say null binds are allowed or ban everything.

i wouldn't say that snap tap is a script, rather it's a feature that was used to be made with scripts, so i don't really think that's ok to compare it to mouse with RCS. RCS IS a script, since it automates recoil, snap tap is preventing from pressing, not automating something.

Valve doesn't need to take a stance on it, null binds are achievable through config files, so it's obviously legal for them.

Hot take: "nulls" should be default for movement. from an objective, user-focused perspective, if somebody presses a key it's because they want something to happen.

as long as there is somewhat of a delay in game I think it's fair. games like overwatch seem far more cooked with this feature.

you can run recoil scrips in faceit cs2 without bans and ppl done that for long time

Valve never banned any hardware based grey area macros, binds, or anything else of that nature. In GO you were able to create bhop scripts in Razer Synapse which allowed you to hit perfect bhops ("perfs") 100% of the time on flat surfaces. Not sure it you still can. If you own Logitech mice, you can create full blown LUA scripts for GHUB, some people have created almost perfect recoil scripts for the AK and M4 which of course still work. Not to mention more simple stuff like rapid input macros to spam single fire weapons like the Tec-9. None of this ever got acknowledged or banned by valve even though it would be rather easy to detect.

Counter strafing is not hard, who cares. It’s not cheating
