hi what is your height in relation to the board. I'm curious about the stance and height relative to the wheelbase of this board
@jporkchop9 күн бұрын
I think these are slightly slower because of the light up wheels. They have magnets inside that bleed off your wheel speed to power the LEDs kinda like the old school bicycle headlight generators. Regular wheels and bearings should be quicker
@Nobic45712 күн бұрын
Love the video! Glad you didn’t get hit. If it helps, check your wheels to see what size they are. Increasing the wheel size by at most 5mm can help with bumps. Another option to consider is Shark Wheels. They may look square, but they work very well over bumps!

Hey Tyler, I’m new to your channel from your penny skating videos. It’s been three years since you mentioned bruxism-how has that been going for you? Has it improved? I’m dealing with the same issue myself. My night guard has been helpful in preventing tooth damage, but I’m also trying to address the underlying stress, just like you. I’ve found that doing yoga helps me fall asleep more easily and reduces clenching during REM sleep, especially close to waking up. I hope you’re finding better sleep these days!

Hey! Just seeing this comment now. I honestly still experience it, yes, as well as chronic insomnia. The past number of years have had significant family, personal, and financial stress, which has continually contributed to underlying issues. To me, it feels like it's kind been like "whack-a-mole" where one significant thing gets worked out then another thing pops up, etc. I have developed journaling as a means to emotionally and mentally "dump" things out. Working out also has been a constant positive for me. That and finding meaningful connections with others/spending quality time with loved ones. I hope yoga continues to help you! Keep on keeping on ✌🏼

@@TheTylerRossmann Thanks for sharing! I totally relate to that 'whack-a-mole' feeling when life just keeps throwing curveballs! Journaling sounds like a great way to process everything; I might have to give that a try! It’s good to hear that working out has been a positive outlet for you. Let’s keep supporting each other on this journey! Wishing you peace and better sleep ahead!

You're explaining of anxiety, just made me realize the fact,... I had it SO badly. I had 2 weeks to decide to retire or not. I REALLY didn't want to, and didn't have to. But, other's filled my head with opposing thoughts, and they're reasons why I should retire... i became confused, it was scaring me, because i didn't know what to do... when i did. But i couldn't make up my mind.... when it came time... i had a breakdown, and was hospitalized. Because of my condition, i threw in the towel. Immediately after,.. i went into depression. I couldn't believe i betrayed myself... I couldn't believe i gave up the job I've loved for 20yrs! And i had planned to work forever. It was the Structure of my whole life. I hate myself. I don't enjoy life at all. I just suffer. Ive call suicide lines, but im to afraid to commit for help. Im so destroyed. My health is declining, and I don't do anything about it.... i can't.

I learnt how to ride in a day with penny board....teach someone who's learning how to control the board because when I was riding I noticed that when I try to push the board will just turn on It's own before one would even put his second leg on
@TheTylerRossmann7 ай бұрын
If you are turning as you push, that means your front foot is putting pressure on either the left or right side of the board when you’re pushing (I.e. your foot is not likely centered). If you keep your front foot in the middle of the board facing forward, you shouldn’t run into that problem

Unless you're doing ollies and tricks, I wouldn't waste money buying heavier Penny trucks. The lighter knock off trucks is actually a good thing. I would way rather have a 3 lb board than a 4 lb one. Instead, just replace the bushings with Riptide bushings which will make the trucks ride much better than Penny trucks.

I actually would really recommend surf skate as a point a to b commute board after you are more used to the movements. Because as you learn to pump better you get more efficient. But as a commuter I’d say instead of waterborne you would want a carver c7 or cx

I bought a $4 dollar no brand penny board a few days ago and I'm still learning to ride it, I've been able to push and get on it with both feet without falling and also being able to turn left and right by leaning just from practicing in my room on the carpet and in the living room of my apartment which is wide enough to practice on but not long enough to fully practice on, but I'm thankful I found your videos, it's really giving me the confidence and knowledge to continue learning how to ride my board. Hopefully 1 day it becomes second nature to me

My bro bought a halo penny board for 35$ at Walmart in 2018. Years later the board is still good. switched the wheels from a longboard onto it and it turned amazing. Great value for decent penny.
