Nice,, Keep em coming please. In 1992, We trapped a State Record 64 lb Mammoth Beaver 🦫 behind my house in Southern New Hampshire USA. Had a beautiful brook running through our property when I built my wife her Castle. The Beavers figured they might as well move in also. Their Dam was over 157' long, which amassed to quite a pond out back. Now we got Moose, Black Bear Fisher, Coyotes, Foxes everywhere, deer up the ying yang, & every other kind of animal you can think of , lol..

it was just over 500 a day and we had the boat from 8am to 8pm can pick it up when ever in that time period. must be turned in nightly at 8pm. they do supply one halibut pole and 1 salmon pole perpson. you have to supply your own tackle and bait. also the boat is for 4 adults

How far up was this? It looks like it starts about 3 miles up from the confluence and runs to just below the jam.

That pretty close to correct. We where about 3ish mile at the beginning and the log jam is just 3 corners up from where I stopped

I've enjoyed your channel for a while. Whenever I hear someone say they're going bear hunting, the 1st thing I ask is are you going to eat the meat. You're a trapper, and I'm more than sure you will utillize every bit of that bear in one way or the other, but do you eat bear or beaver? Not being a wiseguy, I'm just curious. I'm originally from S.E. Louisiana, and there's not much I won't try at least once. As the old sayin' goes "I've been hungry before." Keep doing what you love and enjoy yourself!
@outdoorsalaska4 ай бұрын
Yes we eat the meat of both bear and beaver and also muskrat. Black bear makes awesome sausage and jerkey. Muskrat makes good burger and beaver makes a good casserole. I just can't stand the tail of a beaver tastes like grease flavored bubble gum. Best way I can describe it.
@deadpinecollective4 ай бұрын
Bear is highly sought after up here in BC Canada. Beaver meat is still in high demand for First Nations, and I agree, the tail was not good, but the Elders love it.

Home made 5/8s rebar. They can go for a bit on a hard pack trail. Once he got off the trail he only went 10 yards maybe..they weigh about 5lbs with good wide hooks for grabbing sticks and trees

How much is a good beaver pelt worth these days? Fur garments are less popular than they were years ago.
@outdoorsalaska6 ай бұрын
So my prime pelts just sold ranging from 60 to 80 each. My less prim pelts are going to fur harvesters last year I had a 35 dollar average from there. Then I sell the carcasses for 35 each to dogmushers and trappers. Then the skulls are sold for 35 to 50 each then the casters I make my own sense for trapping. And sell some here and there
