You play around too much. Those novelty ways of drawing [ rainbow colored lines ] are hurting you more than they are helping you. That you can not see how much further you could be taking your drawings were you to give them more respect and more time is pretty obvious. Ingres would spend a MINIMUM of a week on one of his drawings. You?

Thank you for taking the time to watch some of my drawing videos and for commenting on my mediocre attempts to butcher a Ter Borch. However, Ingres was known for finishing his drawings in a day.

Thank you so much for this. I am left handed and keep smudging my work. I have seen how you draw now and have learnt the best way so I don't smudge things anymore. So very helpful for a beginner.

I like the way you describe what you’re doing as you draw. You are very relaxing to watch and listen to. And even though this demonstration was sped up, nothing was lost at all. Thank you! More, more please 😊

Really enjoyed watching this. I am curious, though. It seems like you avoided darkening the iris on the right side (her left eye). Was that intentional?

Your pressure control is crazy. Yog are able to produce a broad range of value evenly and there's virtually no variation in value along each stroke length. Is this a skill you were already good at or was it something you had to actively work on over time?

I can't remember I specifically practised that. Sometimes that left hand seems a bit disconnected from my conscience and just do what it is supposed to do. Sorry if this sounds a bit weird.

11/23/2023 I saw the youtube video that you did from this drawing or a photograph like it and I was absolutely amazed. Please can you post a link to it. I am a retired portrait artist who teaches figure drawing at a community college in Connecticut. I am going to focus on hatching this week and I know they would be amazed and so motivated by that narrated realtime drawing. I love the expressiveness in that drawing and I know they would be as intrigued by your very brave lines. I have some students who think out of the box already and they would especially appreciate it. I have 20 students in that class many of them came to me with strong skills because they learn from online posts like yourse. Much thanks.

Amazing drawing. I love this. That right eye, although perhaps a tad small (constructive criticism😬), couldn’t have been drawn any better, in my opinion. It’s perfect. I love all of it, though. Your technique is loose and simplistic enough, but realistic and refined. Love the hatch work, that look. I feel getting that darkest dark is key to it’s success, as well. I’ll be checking out more of your work. Thanks for sharing

I tried drawing this eye--it looked kind of like this but not quite--I asked my sister-in-law, a good artist--she suggested putting the pupil under the tallest part of the eye shape, as was done in this video--it sure helped!
