Looks like the hip curve is off. Make sure it was properly selected before you run the process. Also apply the process in a clean Blender project with only the character in the program. Blender has a hard time if there are too many meshes in the scene.

Hello. On the right under object properties, click on Delta Transform and make the changes from there to see if it works.

Hello. As far as I know, there is no way to directly import xaf animation data into Motion Mixture. What you do is a workaround. Apply the xaf to a character with cat bones, export it as an fbx, re-import it as an fbx, then you can use Motion Mixer.

Update: I got it working, but not for the feet and leg movements, they reach a certain point and then just keep going up and down, even when I changed their y axis to linear, so I guess I have to do those manually, still saves a lot of time by not need to do all the rest, thanks for that. I'm using 3ds max by the way.

Hello. Yes it can be done manually. Instead of clicking Auto Map, you click on the triangle next to CATRig Mapping and all the bones appear. Drag the bones from the Source node into the Capture node section. Be warned that as you move the source nodes to the capture nodes, the CAT Rig will move on top of the source node bone by bone.

Hello. One way is to export the character as an fbx, then re-import it. Then delete the keyframes where you need the animation to stop and manually animate the character coming to a stop.

How do you export the finished animation? I got a ton of unused bones when I exported the mesh and animation as FBX, I found this by importing the FBX to Blender again. Does anyone have the same problem as me?

I have the same problem as you. I have yet to find a solution but what is common in all 3d software is that once a character is rigged it is very hard to export it without the rig breaking when importing it.

holy fuck so guess what i just figured out. you can copy and paste an edited mesh using NLA. i just had a break through after 12 hrs of trying to figure it out. when you create the new action make sure you select the tab <No Action> then go back to timeline and edit the mesh how ever you want now the first keyframes itll be a long ass line copy that first set of lines and go back into NLA and select the tab that says Armature Actions thats the tab that holds your old edit then once you selected that tab go back into time line. aight so now go line by line and paste the new edited action into the old one YES you can delete the old keyframes and the animation will still play with the new inserted keyframes🙏🏾 small edit i did this because it helped with the twisting of the mesh the wrist was twisted and weight paint as well as bendy bones wasn’t helping so this solution is like another alternative to applying a different position.

so what if i want to change the animation mesh. how do i save that? because i downloaded a character with a rifle walk animation and i want to change the wrist to a different position and fix the wrist because its twisted by default but when i fix it and save it as the new rest position and i play the animation the hole mesh distorts. i have tried 50 billion ways to change it but i cant figure it out. should i just create a hole new rig? so i just dont know what im doing thats wrong and i want to figure it out so i dont stay stuck.

I need more info. Is the character rigged originally in Blender? From mixamo? From another 3d software? Try moving the character using vector transform under the transform panel and see if that works.

you might have to apply all transforms to deltas (or something in that list) by selecting the mesh or armature and hitting ctrl a. It's been a while since i've had to do that so i'm a bit fuzzy, the issue i had was that when i moved the animated mixamo rig to anywhere in the scene and played the animation, it would revert back to the world origin (where it was placed when i imported it) and applying a transform fixed it, but since then i havent had that issue for some reason with other mixamo rigs.

Hello. In Blender It all comes down to the z location controlling the hips. Make sure it is selected, and only it, and click linear extrapolation and unclick the wrench.

Try restarting Blender. Also not all characters from mixamo work exactly the same. They have minor variations between them that requires adjusting to make them work.
