It doesn't take 5 minutes to get a multimetet, diagnose, get an appropriate replacement capacitor, etc. So, I wouldnt say 5 minutes. To diagnose and do it right, it takes more time than that. Also, potentially hazardous to self and equipment. That said, I appreciate the video.

Is that wrench and angle stop tool better than the Rigid One Stop?

That is a good question. I do like this wrench, but I’ve been using a one stop for years. I have not decided yet.

using regular latex caulk around the bottom of toilet it does not get all stained and moldy from misses around toilet? I tried the cool new caulk that is paintable white better than silicone dap AMP i believe it was and it attracted dirt like a magnet
@ranger1788 күн бұрын
i moved my water heater to other side of basement to right under bathrooms so i use what used to be hot water line to feed my toilet and water sits in it warming up to room temperature so i get a lot less sweating on toilet and mold because water filling toilet is around room temperature instead of freezing cold
@ranger1788 күн бұрын
hmmm yeah i tried delta and they gave me nonsense about i just had dirt in my faucet and i should take it apart and flush it out before they would send me any replacement parts because their product could not be worn out.

No, they are not that hard compare to its bit at the tip that's really doing the drilling which is actually obvious. I never heard anyone trashing that either.

My AC isn't working. One day during the middle of a heatwave it worked really well, almost colder than usual, then the next day nothing. I let it sit and a couple of weeks later when there was another heatwave, when I turned it on I could hear the fan going as usual, no strange noises, but it was barely blowing any cool air. During the second heatwave, I felt like it was blowing out weak hot air, now that the heatwave has passed, it's blowing out weak cool air. I changed the capacitor but I don't notice any improvements. My unit is on the roof, I purchased the correct capacitor (45/5) and connected the wires from the old capacitor to the new capacitor one at a time. Any advice?

PEX B is an inferior product. The fittings are a smaller I D and OD then PEX A. PEX A the 5/8” pipe is expanded with a ring and it shrinks over the fitting. PEX B there’s no expansion so the fittings are a smaller diameter. See the problem and difference. More restriction ,less flow.

Id rather use a hacksaw tbh. These blades are so loud, slow and just annoying to use unless you need to cut something in a tight spot.

No Masonry bits are not that hard, the 16th of an inch wide piece of carbide on the tip is the part that drills through the masonry and is hard. Cut the insert in the tip in half.
@aNewAgeWorld17 күн бұрын
Drill bits are really tough. I once went through an entire grinding disk just to get through one, though it was a 16mm bit.

@ThatFixItGuy17 күн бұрын
This could totally be the case. You never know unless you are watching the whole time. And some plumbers hate that. I personally like it when a homeowner asks questions and wants to learn.

Hi. Thank you for the video and repair direction. I have a question because ive never done this repair type before, but could you have cut the compression band and not have had to cut back on the existing pex, or is it not recomended to re-expand / compress an existing fitting ?
@ThatFixItGuy17 күн бұрын
great question. I have never tried to reexpand it. It would I'm sure, but I personally would not want that liability.

I think pex sticking out of the wall to a shutoff valve looks sloppy. They tend to not even sit level or straight. My new house is like that and I hate it. Would rather see a transition to copper.

I usually move the blade left to right when cutting really hard materials. That way it covers more teeth while cutting, instead of focusing on just the middle of the blade.

We had two people come out. One wanted 23,000.00 to replace everything including the furnace (crooks). Our house is only 10 years old. We had another person who did a couple of things. It worked for awhile and then we were back to warm air coming out. I saw this video and asked my husband to replace it. He did and the air is working. Hope that's all that was. Yep it is hot as hell in Southern California (we are in more of a desert area) and naturally it stopped working again Saturday night. 🥵🥶 Yippee!
