I just went through this about a month ago. Our backyard gutter/yard 90 feet drain line was draining slowly when we got a downpour. The water backed up on our patio and was heading toward the house.😲 We're lucky it stopped raining or the house could have been flooded. 😲 Did some research and found sewer jetter kits like the one you showed. I bought a 100 feet one and rented a pressure washer from Home Depot. There was so much dirt, compost, and roots in that line; it took a long time to get it out. We even ran a powered snake through it at one point. The thing to do with that coiled black line is to completely uncoil it before you start; that'll make the feeding easy. It's best to feed the line and flush from where the drain line drains out, so at the stream in your case. You use the nozzle that doesn't spin to blast through the clogged spots. The nozzle number represents gallons per minute for your pressure washer output. After using the blaster nozzle, use the spinning nozzle to flush the debris out of the line. If you have trouble starting your gas powered pressure washer between gas fill-ups, try releasing the pressure in the hose by operating the gun. Do not operate the pressure washer gun continuously when flushing; to prevent damage you want to go on and off with it as you flush. It's a big help to have a helper operate the pressure washer gun while you feed the hose. Our yard drain line is now clear, and there are no breaks. 💪👊 It drains like a champ during downpours now.👏👏👏 This kit saved us a ton of money. 😍 It's highly recommended, especially if you already own a pressure washer! 👍👍👍👍👍

That is great to hear that you were able to have a positive experience with a set up like this as well. I just wish it had a hose reel. lol

Yes, the reel would be helpful, especially if you're going to use it often, like in your plumbing trade. I think that you can buy a reel if you want one. Since I may use this once in a while as a DIY homeowner, just uncoiling the line before I start saves on the cost of a reel. 👍👍👍@@ThatFixItGuy

I haven't had a need for this yet, but if I do, I know what to try. Thanks for sharing!

I rarely get calls for sewer or drainage line clearing so I doubt I’ll buy one but if I do I’ll be sure to get a long camera probe as well. Nice video. Well done.

I really liked being able to take a look up the drain to see what was going on after the jetted the line. Camera is a great tool to own.

Get yourself an extension cord reel to store the hose!

You can buy a reel, but I just completely unwound the coil and stretched it out in an uncoiled fashion. That made feeding the line easy.

I want to try digging a trench with my pressure washer somebody had a video on that you wash away all the dirt and rocks and are just left with some roots you can cut with a Sawzall to make a trench for running a new hose. It is easier to start the pressure washer if you have the handle held down and no tip in the gun while starting the compressor then you are not fighting water pressure in the pump while starting engine but have the water on to lubricate pump.

Great information to know! Thank you. I'm totally ignorant on lines/chains that guide water from a gutter to a drainage hole. If installing a chain does it need to be big like that or did they likely just use whatever they had on hand?
