Marcus was truly capable of killing John Wick

In my opinion John was ready to let Viggo go after killing Iosef but it all changed with this completely dumb move by Viggo. He knew he shouldn't mess with John and still he decides to kill Marcus who is John's very good friend and then on top of that call him to let him know about it. Definitely a bunch of weird decisions from someone who is usually way more calculated in his decision making. I mean he basically sacrificed his own son to save himself from John and then suddenly he is like: "yeah, I think I'd also rather die at John's hands."

Also Viggo if you weren't too busy trying to save your own ass your son would still be alive... at least until John found him

Viggo was the most fascinating character. Everything he did in this movie was shit he didn't want to do, but had to do. He didn't want to kill Marcus. But he felt he had to. And really he did from his perspective. Because you have a severely dangerous contract killer that good, that not only led to the death of his son. But also a severely dangerous contract killer that is willing to betray Viggo, to help a man, even more dangerous, that killed his son. At that point, for all Viggo knows, he could be next, and Marcus could try to take him out too. I think he trusted that John would not directly come after him, because he could have killed Viggo in the street when he gave up the location of his kid. But he had zero trust for Marcus.

Not that I care if it's weird or not, but I had a dream that One Piece used this soundtrack when the main character, Monkey D. Luffy confronted an opponent who was basically the "John Wick" of that show. Fitting, given that show revolves around the ocean.
