Cool trail-blazing. I do keep wishing you'd raise the camera angle, though. More than once I would raise my head to "see better" 🤣, feeling stupid every time I realized I was doing it 🤪

Is 200cc really indspensable (as a Trial ride, for mountain rides) or 125TW enought ? (plenty 125 cheao in France, but few 200cc)
@jak3est
@jak3est 10 күн бұрын
Not sure if you're in higher elevation u might want fuel injection but if its lower a tw125 is still probably good it's such low power and low gear ratio actually make it pretty fun to climb difficult terrain. Where other bikes need momentum and speed. But don't think a tw can tackle everything. It lacking speed and momentum makes some hills impossible. It's a great unique bike

Very good off-road rc! 💯💪 It looks interesting with such large tires, I like it 😉, but in fact the grip is largely determined by the tire tread. 👍👍👍👍👍

Yeah i was more interested in seeing the added ground clearance. But im staying with 1.55 size wheels now just got two additional sets with softer rubber and better tread. The stock team associated ones looked great but the rubber is like plastic

I love exploring on my tw. Instead of riding boots i chose snake proof, waterproof knee high lace up boots for scouting/ off trail riding, you can catch them on sale for around $100. They dont make a motorcycle boot that cheap with that much coverage and truly waterproof. Also heavy duty springs front and back completely changes the tw200 off trail. Great video ,thanks for your time.
@jak3est
@jak3est 2 ай бұрын
Luckily in the northeast we don't worry about snakes we do have rattlesnakes but they're extremely rare and lethargic most of the time. I was thinking of getting some high rubber boots for exploring eventually. Where did you get the spring upgrades?

Pro cycle, but Bradley performance offers a great spring options nowadays. When you do it you won't regret it.

@@jak3estI just ordered a Barron ba-8523rd spring for $80 that’s rumored to work on 2016 and older TW 🤞. The Bradley shock I assume is much better though since the shock is tuned to work with the spring. If your TW is 2017+ or you’re not fat, just set the preload on the rear. Can make a spacer if you need a little more. Stock forks should be tunable with fork oil level and spacers up to a 200-250 lb rider if you’re not too picky.

Should I buy one? tons of trails where I am, whats the top you yal do comfotably on roads?
@jak3est
@jak3est 2 ай бұрын
Depends. It's underpowered and geared very low for the road. Which makes it great offroad. But on road the 1st- 2nd gear shifts kill me its like walking pace so short. But that 1st gear allows for creeping along trails and up hills that no other bike can do. So give and take. Its happy rpm speed on road is 45mph and under. Max speed is 68-70mph Great bike for running around town and in the woods.

Man, that's the trail I LOVE to ride! Pretty much "not trail at all" type of trail. Surron has too much torque and narrow tires - on this type of loose surface - it will struggle. TW200 (with skid plate) is at home here. Also, that tree at 3:39 - last summer I learned how to safely jump over them on my XT250. Once you put skid plate, check out some 'double blip' videos and give it a try. It's so much fun!

Yeah in these woods is loose mulch like soil under leaves and pine needles i can dump the clutch front wheel wont lift rear just digs lol i knew I wouldve rode straight into the tree lol but i get what you mean

Three weeks ago, about 3 miles into riding my new 2024, I went across a dip in the pasture, and have not ridden since. My back jolted and compressed badly. New heavier front springs, Cogent DDC's, heavy duty rear springs, and a bunch of other stuff...Hopefully I'll be installing all on the next nice day, and soon I'll be riding a smoother riding bike. Love the TW200, but I'm old, too heavy, and the bike has weak suspension stock. Also a 70 tooth sprocket and bigger carb jetting, more fuel and torque to help me to climb out of the places like the jungle you're in...Which is similar to my overgrown pastures. I hope my wife never sees this video. She's not to happy with me riding again after nearly 30years!
@jak3est
@jak3est 4 ай бұрын
Yeah the suspension isn't the greatest but it gets the job done. I was laid up for two days after that ride. tweaked my back good.

In between the frame rails under the trailer bed mines a reefs servo winch. So strong I accidentally almost folded the entire truck in half I forgot it was hooked on the rear bumper.... it snapped the steel cable!

Did you try dropping the air pressure in the tires at all? That should have helped but in "sugar" snow like you had with no base it would be hard to get around
