Crazy thing is those tricks are performed by weekend warriors now, Big air really moved on, kite technology a big part of it with all the new Aluula kite on the market that loops and catches so much better

Series is amazing. Your tips have me finally getting consistent boosts and the ability to self diagnose where my problems are/ have been. Awesome.

great explanation, I still can't stop looping my kite and crashing badly at the end.

Very helpful! I had the same problem with over-rotating. One question: what is the ideal body-shoulder position while take-off? I think I also rotate (front-roll) too much because i turn my hips and shoulders completely towards the wind direction.

Hi! When the Session is started and the Woo is recording (red light flashing), the Garmin gps is Red or Green? Beacuse i have the doubt that when is Red is not recording.

Is it required that the Woo is placed in the middle of the board?
@yannthedrummer Жыл бұрын
In the video it is placed in the midle of the "width" next to the handle. I thought we should place the woo in the midle of the lenght (between the footstraps) but slightly next to the handle

Do you HAVE to use the phone, or can a Garmin watch with the Woo app installed be used? I just subscribed, but I'm missing the additional measurements (for previous sessions).

Thx for this very helpful and concise video! Landed my first front rolls after it feeling super duper awkward. In case it helps anyone, I kept crashing the kite and finally realized that I wasn’t steering the bar all the way around the horizontal axis. I was kind of leaving it halfway un-rotated for some reason, which reversed the steering. Had to be sure to push the front hand forward to make the bar rotate fully.

To be fair… woo stories would be actually a game changer. As well as woo direct messages. How nice would it be to have a kinda closed kite-community just for kiting!

Can you view the 3 metrics mentioned for others in the leader board? It would be nice to compare with higher jumpers to see which areas to improve on. It is my understanding there is no feature to say on idea values for say a 10m vs 20m jump based on the measurements here?

Can you record kite sessions with the App on just the Apple Watch, no clip on device? And while doing so can you access your watch to get to another app and still leave the session tracking? Is there a way to turn off the turn the crown to access the watch? Thanks.

Great vid, thanks! Nick performs with such a style and makes it look so easy. Same about Garmin and Woo, it's a great duet. I started using it myself and I am very impressed. Having Woo 3.0 and Garmin Darth Vader.

After a session the iphone app shows both "Download" and "Upload" as 2 different options. What's the difference? I am using the Apple watch with the Woo if that matters.

Download is saving data from your WOO or Watch to your phone, Upload posts it to your profile. So first Download, then Upload!

Tried that "front leg shin edging muscle" technique that Leo mentions at the start, feels good but also a bit weird as it makes me push up hard into the footstrap, like trying to break the velcro. Foot also moves a bit to point towards the tip. Is that right?

Great video!!! Just recently landed this trick on an 8m in lighter wind. Love your tip about not sending a full backroll, rather letting the loop pull the back half of the rotation. For whatever reason though, I do this better one handed. If I keep my front hand on the bar, I tend to have more misgivings and don't always commit. With one hand I am forced to commit.
@BerlinMauer3 жыл бұрын
I just landed my first frontroll kiteloops yesterday. Feeling it today though! The process was unintentional and evolved into the frontroll kiteloop. Nearly every transition I do frontrolls. And then there was the point I found it easier to start looping to save the kite after the transition. After awhile I got greedy and started pulling the loop earlier so that it would pull me during the rotation in the air ... Feeling the aftermath of those attempts ... but eventually I was able to pull halfway during the frontroll and get that epic where-the-hell-am-I feel. I honestly didn't expect this trick considering I've never even done a powered kite loop. Only after I got home did I look up videos and found out it is indeed this trick! This is definitely one of the best videos to show the mechanics. Many thanks!
