Hello, nice little video. I do like these shot cam , especially for dove hunting shot to realize the needed lead according to the distance and speed of the bird. I unfortunately often miss, like many by shooting behind because I can't figure out the lead...

Have yall messed with dropping the rear tilt pin down and putting a mere quick rear tilt pin in where you want it to change the trim and motor angle on the fly? just curious.

How do you tell when they’re close enough to shoot? That’s our biggest problem is telling when to shoot
@TheQuackAddicts Жыл бұрын
Honestly that’s something that comes with time. I always try my best to wait until they decoy but sometimes a passing shot is all you’re going to get and you have to take your chances.

This video should’ve been titled how to ruin your new mud motor. Anyone that runs their motor on the rev limiter like that need their head examined. Hopefully nobody nobody actually thinks this is the correct way to operate an engine.

Did that say this hunt was on the last day of the 20-21 season? Heck of a shoot whatever it said. I ain’t hunted much this season, just been so little water here where I’m from in Muhlenberg county KY that it’s been a struggle. Really only time I’ve been this season was when we were drawn for a blind in Ballard county at boatwright wma for a pretty good day. Hoping for some more of this rain to come on thru. Be nice to finish the season strong. Great video man and good shooting.

Thanks man! Yeah this hunt was at the very end of 2020-21 season. This year has been pretty slow so far but it should be picking up soon. Good luck out there!

I am a fellow Kentucky sandhill crane hunter as well. Congratulations! One suggestion: cook it to medium rare, definitely not past medium. I normally cook my beef steaks to medium. I tried crane at medium rare, and it made a world of difference.
@TheQuackAddicts Жыл бұрын
Thanks man! You're right, I overcooked it that go around but it was still fantastic. We'll definitely be cooking it medium rare next go around though. Good luck the rest of the season!

@@TheQuackAddicts never use a labrador to hunt instead use a Chesapeake Bay retriever the difference between a Chesapeake Bay retriever is labradors are lazy and don't want to hunt and Chesapeake Bay retriever has the urge to hunt and retriever tell the people asap so they won't make a mistake so to use a Chesapeake Bay retriever instead of a labrador

I’d do anything if this hunt wasn’t so dark at the beginning but I couldn’t do without those sound clips. Picture starts gets brighter at around 5:30 and is full daylight at 7:00 so if you’re not very patient skip to one of those time stamps. 👍🏻

I know this is an older video but it just popped up for me and I wanted to see what you had to say. My tip is the tiller should have little to no pressure when its on plane. If the the tiller is pulling away and the boat wants to steer to the right you're too deep. And if its pushing towards you and steering left then its too shallow. I manhandled it for too long before I figured that out. It the tiller shouldn't pull either way when you're on plane. Spend some time on open water watching the speed on a gps and you can really learn how to get a feel for adjusting the trim and getting the best performance. Also reverse is kind of a suggestion. It doesn't pull very hard so its difficult to back up in the thick stuff. I stand in front of the tiller looking backwards so I'm not in the way if it hits something and swings.

Glad I read this, Have been fighting my gtr for as long as ive had it because I did not know this. Appreciate the advice
@TheQuackAddicts2 жыл бұрын
Some great tips! Only thing I’d add to that would be when attempting sharper turns like on narrow rivers or timber trails you might have to trim down just a hair from the optimum spot for speed to get the prop to grab hard enough. Trim too high and you’ll blow through the turn. Thanks for watching man!
