Mystery solved Allan, I never even considered Cowdale/King Sterndale! Much easier on the Himalayan than it was on my old 955i Tiger. (piece of cake on the outfit!😊) Needless to say the terrace of cottages were built to house quarrymen and their families. Staden quarry being just behind the village - favourite climbing venue of mine 'back in the day '. Nice one again Allan, cheers.

Thank you for a really interesting ride, the views from that hill were amazing, the elevation must certainly have been great & to be doing it on two wheels in winter is definitely not a small challenge. Well done. Happy New Year to you, looking forward to more exciting two wheeled adventures in 2025. Take care out there. ❤️xx

Ey up Not a track I’ve ridden along, but always worth knowing a cut through when your out on the bike and the need arises. I think I’d rather be riding up it than down it Here’s a tip I use to block out the low winter sun, run 3 or 4 strips of electrical insulating tape across the top of your visor. It doesn’t cost anything and can be easily removed Cheers

Happy Christmas Allan! Very interested in this one as I've just invested in a mic mini, and still learning regarding set-up. Speaking objectively, I think there's a tiny bit of echo with the mic 2, but almost imperceptible. Now then, this here secret road across here near Buxton??....most intriguing, I'm watching this space,!!

I've ridden and driven past the place a few times now, and always thought it looks a cut above to be honest. I'd better lower my standards and give it a go Allan! 😅 Have a great Christmas anyway, and I'll probably see you in the new year. Possibly even at The Duke on NYD. 🤞

I remember short leads. It was quite a while ago though. Nowadays it seems to be a case of let your dogs run free or on such a long lead so that the dog can be on one side of the road whilst the owner browses social media on their phone on the other. I nearly got caught by that one the other day in my car.

The only thing that is BSA about this bike is the "name", the rest is a cheap pile of cachu produced somewhere on the Indian Sub-Continent and being sold very cheaply, across the world, often ending up being bought by cheapskate sad wanabees trying to hop onto the nostalgia of a once great British marque. On top of all the jiggly hype they have even got the cheek to link it to a model that in it's day was one of the very best 350 & 500cc road bikes of the early sixties. The bike sounds more like a clapped out Singer sewing machine, nothing like the original "thumper" and unlike it's predecessor will loose it's value faster that it's top speed. As for its looks, beyond a joke, even the tank badge looks likes it was made in China and sold on AliExpress for a few rupee's........
