Great video series Guys 👍 I am definitely trading my BMW310 GS in on a lightweight Beta Xtrainer 300 now👍 the 310GS is way to heavy for me to get much needed offroad skills as coming over to the "Good Side" a bit late in life after mainly being a road rider lol 😂 I'm nearly 70 and time to get out in our great tracks in Tassie and have fun 👍 cheers Karl in Hobart 😊

A lowering link will make the bike way more stable at high speed. I’m suprised you dont notice the front of the bike plowing in slow speed riding. I feel a big difference just moving the forks from the top ring to the bottom
@HardUNduroКүн бұрын
The bike feels way more balanced now to be honest. I've redone the forks and Shock since also so hige difference from just the link. Cheers

Looks like the 4-stroke blokes are struggling with the Low speed technical stuff. The 2 strokes sound happier being lugged about just off idle and are more responsive to slight wrist inputs. The 4 bangers sound like they need more revs to avoid stalling out, which makes riding slowly much harder. I had a 2017 350EXC and found it more enjoyable in the faster stuff than the technical stuff
@HardUNduroКүн бұрын
Yep totally agree, that's why I choose 2 strokes all day every day. But mainly slow technical . I would have another 350 4 stroke if I could for faster more open. Cheers 🍻

Two strokes don’t pop stall and have great low-end torque that and lower weight gives it the advantage in technical.

The mx33 front tire sucks on those bikes change the tires you'll love it, also don't touch the suspension settings right away it will be stiff for a few hours until it's broken in then will be beautiful.
@HardUNduroАй бұрын
Agree re the mx33. This bike has easily done over 50hrs so the suspension was definately settled. Agree tho 10+hrs for new suspension to settle. Cheers.

Thoughts on the te300 compared to the beta's previously ridden?
@HardUNduroАй бұрын
We have done a few videos talking a bit about it but the size of the Xtrainer suits Al and I love the fuel injected TBI. Neither of us really liked the RR much but we didn't really get to dial one in and ride with our custom settings. Again Carb vs Fuel injection. I would suggest ride them if you can. Also beta is WAY cheaper here. Cheers
@yobbosАй бұрын
Gday fella's, so whats choice between xtrainer or TE ? cheers
@HardUNduroАй бұрын
Honestly both amazing bikes. The beta is way cheaper. Beta is carb, TE is fuel injected. All depends on what you like the feel off. Xtrainer is amazing (especially when suspenion is done), it's the most fun forgiving lug machine ever and the smaller frame is confidence inspiring. The TE is smooth as butter and lugs hard. You definately need to test ride them. Good luck cheers.
@JohnsmithabcdeАй бұрын
Apart from single trails could I also use this bike on fire roads?
@HardUNduroАй бұрын
Definitely, although a 4 stroke may be better suited in some circumstances where your on constant speeds. Cheers
@JohnsmithabcdeАй бұрын
@HardUNduro sometimes between single trails i will have a few km of fire roads. Will the long fire roads at constant speed damage a 2 stroke engine?
@HardUNduroАй бұрын
I would suggest those joiner sections would be fine. Im.bk expert but i believe 2 strokes don't like sitting at the same rpm for a long time.

I came off a 2001 KTM 300EXC modified for racing to the 2024 TE 300 TBI . My old 300 was more powerful but a real open class beast. The 24 TE300 is soooo good . Great forks that other than oil level adjustment for better root feel and an Enduro Engineering seat mine is stock . Motor is super luggable . Literally can wheelie out of downhill rut for better line - no way on my old 300. Clutch feel is super precise and easy pull . The rear is unreal how well it tracks across slick , off camber roots . We get 50 inches of rain annually here in SC so its just awesome in slick and in super tight goat traiIs we have in enduros. Love the vids where GNCC types bash the bike . Helped me get a better deal on my bike . Oh I did add the Pro Circuit 304 spark arrestor which sounds a bit barkier than the Husky stock unit .

I’ve got over 200 hours on my 2024 TE 300 in hard enduro use. It’s the best 300 of the 5 new ones I’ve purchased. It’s also has the lowest stock seat height. I’m happy to see the Brembo brakes on the 2025 model. The Braketec’s weren’t bad, but Brembo is better.

I went from a 2020 EXC 300 TPI to the 2024 TE 300 tbi so not like for like... I did however had 100+hs on the TPI and I had the suspension revalved and set up for my weight and did most of my riding on the Mitas double green with tubliss. Jumped on the TE300 '24 and the only thing I did to it was to change the clickers to Husky's soft settings. Straight away I felt incredibly comfortable with how the bike moved around! I still need to play around a bit with bars position but the suspension was very very close to dialed in and the bike felt way more planted than my TPI ever did. And that was on stock tires too. I missed the traction of the Mitas but other than that, no worries! The Husky sits 1" lower compared to the KTM which was confirmed by both dealer before I chose the Husky. I'm 179cm tall (5-9ish?) and a lower bike definitely helps. I had the low seat on the KTM and even got a low seat for the Husky but in all honesty, it might not even need it. I've only done 2.4hs on it as I had to wait for parts to arrive but other than the bike stalling a bit too much for my liking I'm over the moon with the bike(need to adjust idle/air screw). My main concern was the Braktech brakes but even those worked really well on my 1st go.
@HardUNduro2 ай бұрын
That's awesome.. I had the same experience with my 2020 ktm 300 exc tpi. I did all the TSP conversions on it which made it way better and mxtech lucky suspension but my new 2025 Husky TE300 is way better stock all round. And now having done the TSP remap etc it's again a lot better for me on white map. I'm about to do some suspension mods (probably Ktech revalve etc) but like you said stock is extremely good. The 2025 eith the brembo brakes was a must for me tho. Enjoy the ride and thanks for sharing..Cheers. 👍 💪
@Educalifa2 ай бұрын
@@HardUNduro I was on the same boat re brembo brakes but so far no complaints. Again, only 2hs in so the jury is out on that one still. I got the '24 for $15.7 and the 25s were $19.2... I just couldn't justify the difference. There was even a TE Pro (brembos on that one) for $17.9 but I felt like if I really wanted I could always just change the calipers and I'd still be ahead. I can't wait to get the ERM and power valve cover but I want to do at least 20hs in stock form first so I'm able to tell the difference a little better. I'm currently resisting (barely) fitting a set of 216MX/216SX for the same reason. Not sure how long I'll endure the stock tires tho haha

@HardUNduro3 ай бұрын
Hi Antonio. No We wont be doing the head. We talk about this in the intro chat but we did a head on a 2021 KTM300 and for us it was too much raw power. The ERM does exactly what we were after; To give us a smooth map with plenty of access to controllable power for us weekend warriors! However, if you are a gun rider that loves power on tap, then don't let us talk you out of the head. It just doesn't suit our riding. Cheers.

If you get a chance give a R&Duro EZ clutch a go. Way better engagement feel than the clake. It’s a simpler mechanical design and very adjustable. It uses the standard Brembo hydraulics so is a nice simple unit.
