I personally would have sanded as I went, as well as stained 2 good coats as I went so inner butting boards were also stained. So much easier to stain & add sealer while in pieces. I like a bigger picnic table, although heavy I’d make so 4 adults can sit on each side w/no one straddling center support legs. Plus at least a board wider at table top. There’s never enough room on picnic tops. I also put a stone under each leg to avoid direct contact to the ground, it will last so much longer from rot on leg feet. Nice build! Thx

Great idea. The fish are hungry, and filling up for the winter. Good lick if u guys end up going. I'll be checking out a few spots. Raw shrimp is always good for catfish. Worms and minnows will be good and pick up other species too. Just use enough weight that ur bait doesn't get pushed around and snag up, 1-3oz. Big cats could give u trouble with line that is too light, and light gear tho. If the kiddos hook into a big cat, it'll be something to remember! Tight lines!
@Upgraydez
@Upgraydez Жыл бұрын
Those are adult bullhead, not juvenile catfish. U may get some small sauger in the la Salle, walleyes unlikely. The problem with that bridge is it offers no structure for the fish to relate to, only shade, which they don't need in that water. I'm sure the nanny was impressed with ur fishing prowess tho, so all good.

I use a whole house filter for filtration and a ozone generator to help keep the particulates under control. I also always have a shower and use a brush to scrub away any loose skin cells. It really helps I assure you. I get about 6 months of use before I change the water which is more than you can ask for. I’ve had a hot tub for years and I do the same with that. Thank you so much for the compliment. If you have the aluminum interior you'll have to do an extra step. Everything else in my video still applies. Hey Brad, how is this coating holding up over time? Did you do a 3'rd coat or wish you would have? I saw one of the comments talked about the metal interior versus the white. With all the research you did, do you think as long as it is sanded well the metal interior does not need a self etching primer before the pond liner? That adds a bunch of cost and complexity, so I would be very happy to just sand very well, do JB weld, and then pond liner. Also did you think about doing any kind of flakes on the last layer like a garage floor to make it more grippy? Just a thought.

@edwardsfamilyworkshop Жыл бұрын
Hey Matt sorry for the delay. You know I had enough to do a 3rd coat and If I were to do it again I'd definitely do it. Once I had my process down it didn't take too much more effort. Next time I drain my plunge I just might add the 3rd coat. It can only serve to make it more robust. As far as self etching primer goes it's absolutely not necessary. I had a few conversations with other plungers and it was unanimous. In my experience I've never felt the need to add any sort of grip to the bottom. Just take it easy getting in and out. Hope that helps
