In the US, “Playing doctor” is an old expression for kissing and groping (palpating 😉), basically, as much fun as two people can have with their clothes still on. Just a little context, the reason Stanley didn’t want to try it is because he had just had a heart attack at work, took time off, and came back. That is the reason they are having this training in the first place in case anything like that ever happens again. Stanley isn’t supposed to exert himself too much, he even has a heart rate monitor on his finger. That’s also why he so easily starts to not feel well and everyone gathers around him to help. The situation was increasing his stress
