Why would you need to keep tension on the neck? You remove tension all the time when using the trem

It helps maintain stability with the tremolo and the neck because it maintains 440 tuning throughout the process. It's not such a wild environment change for the guitar. Just MHO. Thanks for watching!! 👍

No regrets! I really like my dual mount! I'm getting ready to install a 12" Garmin for Forward Facing Sonar, so I haven't used the mount with two graphs yet. However, I don't ever expect to have any issues. The BassFishin Electronics dual mount is made with 1/4" powder-coated aluminum which is very strong and durable. Thanks for watching!! 👍

Was your Nissan idling rough when at a stop light ? I have had the crankcase sensor and camshaft sensors replaced but occasionally still idles rough. You can watch the voltage meter drop a bit when it does, but smooths back out. Been doing this for a while. Maybe PCV valve then?
@HawksDIY3 ай бұрын
No, I haven't experienced rough idle. A voltage meter will naturally drop with a rough idle or an engine struggling to run. A PCV valve merely ventilates the crankcase by recirclulating the gas vapors that did not combust on initial combustion in the piston chamber. Thanks for watching!

Good video. I have a Mercury 250 xs that has never gotten up to wide open RPMs which should be about 5600. I’ve had the fuel injectors sent out to be cleaned and flowed. That didn’t help much still low RPMs. Compression is good on all cylinders. I did a drop test on each coil and they were ok. Is the drop test a reliable test for the coils or should I use the resistance test too?
@HawksDIY4 ай бұрын
A resistance test is more thorough, but takes a lot longer to test. A resistance test will undoubtedly find an intermittent coil, whereas a drop test will only test for a potential voltage drop. Thanks for watching!

I have a pair of 2005 225 Optimax’s owned since new. All coils were good but I was not reaching my normal max rpm’s at WOT. While I have changed out the plugs several times, I had never changed the spark plug wires. Upon changing the cables, problem solved with full expected max rpm’s at WOT (in my case 5400 rpm’s) and a noticeable increase in power across the rpm range.

The Scanstrut cable seal does a great job of sandwiching the cables together inside the seal creating a water tight seal. I've yet to have any water leak underneath. Can't ask for much more than that and they look nice too! Thanks for watching! 👍

I have a 2004 efi motor with coils that have 5 pins and are identical looking to yours, if they’re all the same, all of my coils fail the pin D test. Do you think they are the same coils and all of mine are actually bad or do you think my coils are different? As far as I know all the two strokes used the same coils

Are we talking about a Mercury motor? If ALL of your coils fail the pin D test, then I don't see how your motor would run at all. Does the motor run?

IWon't have a boat trailer without one. If you fish solo it's really great. I moved the winch post forward when I put it on my Ranger. On my 194 ChampioN it worked without moving it. However the boat was plenty forward on the trailer. Put a short rope with a hook on it for the latch handle. Makes it a lot easier to pull on the way to the drivers seat.

interesting gadget too bad i can't climb out of my boat onto trailer have to drag it on with rope and winch it last couple feet
@HawksDIY7 ай бұрын
Well, with this device you won't have to! The Drotto is designed to hold up to 7,000 pounds once it locks into place. You can pull the boat out of the water at that point and then attach your wench strap and emergency chain later. I only attached the strap and chain because I was already standing there. Thanks for watching!! 👍

@@HawksDIY if I drive boat onto trailer how do i get from boat into my car to drive car up ramp without climbing out of boat onto trailer
@HawksDIY7 ай бұрын
@@ranger178 , good question. Ultimately, you'll have to get out of the boat, but you don't have to worry about attaching the wench strap or emergency chain. The Drotto is rated to hold up to 7,000 lbs which is way above the weight of most boats. Another good thing is the Drotto positions your boat on the trailer perfectly every time. That's a bonus right there! It also rides better driving down the road. No more struggling to get your boat positioned on the trailer correctly. The Drotto takes care of that!
