Hi Juan; The GPS Data link setup for smartphone is a really useful tip, thank you for posting this. I use GPS tags to locate images so to have this data embedded in the image file is really helpful. Cheers Peter.

At last, someone who knows how to explain things. It's unbelievable how often I come across KZbinrs who make changing something on a camera more like a dive into quantum mechanics rather than a simple menu alteration......thank you. 🙂

It is sad to see the bull go like that but it’s just as sad to see the wolves licking and biting away at any meat or flesh they get. It’s the circle of life and the bull would’ve probably died the next month if he was doing that poorly. That would’ve been amazing to see! And good luck on your journeys!

And not only that but its the hardest for them to get hit at because once the bull is so tired kicking is useless so their horns are their best defense so they will have a much harder time using that defense if they’re attacking from behind!

I got a 200-600mm f5.6~6.3 zoom on a Sony A7sIII and ever since I carried I took it off the tripod and have been hand carrying it, I notice an ever so so slight play between the lens and the camera body. Wondering if you could corroborate. So when the lens is attached it snaps into place but then if I wiggle the mammoth 200-600 lens there is slight movement-ish (if that is a word) in the flange between the body and lens - very very slight. Pictures seem fine! I put the 24mm f1.4 Gmaster lens and can feel it with that as well, but much less so than with the 200-600 where it is more pronounced. Again, not sure it is a problem but never experienced this with any other camera brand - my first Sony body. Feels like the lens moves a tiny tiny bit where the white dot is on the lens. Again, I went back and put on the 24mm after I noticed it on the 200-600 and it was there at the shorter focal length. Something I had never noticed before!

Im using a A6400 with 75-350 lens for birdwatching now, but looking for a lens upgrade. So need a pro tip to decide between these two. Right now the crop help me a lot; but some day I will switch to a full frame also.

Great insight into a camera I've seriously been looking at. I presently use the A7IV & happy to use with some of my best keeping rate since moving from Nikon, The Z6ii just didn't cut it for me so sold all my Nikon gear and came to Sony, now going to upgrade to the A1 , Thanks again... Keep up the great reviews .....

Hi. Great video. Looking to get into wildlife and BIF photography. I’m have an A7R2 and have the 100-400 GM with a 1.4 TC. Looking to add a 200-600 in the future. I used an A6400 and 200-600 in the past but found that combo hard to use for long periods. I’m planning to sell the R2 unless it makes sense to keep in combination with my next camera. For example the R2 is still and amazing landscape camera. Should I pick up an A7R3, A7R4 or an A9? The A7R3a with an extra battery can be had new for $2k and the A7RIVa for $3k. I’m guess the A1 would be the best solution but I can’t spend $6400 at this time. Thanks.

Hi, My recommendation out of the cameras you mentioned would be the a7R4, the R3 AF system is really not up to tracking wildlife. I would also consider the newly released a74, great AF (better than the a7R4) good sensor and resolution. The big advantage of the a7R4 is the 60 megapixels which is great to crop into the images when you need that extra reach which you always seem to with wildlife. Best of luck!
@vettepwr23

@@JuanPons Thank you! I really appreciate the response. Should I just bite the bullet and get in get the A1? Or is there a legitimate two camera solution? E.g., A7R4 and A74? Also if you had to pick only one not including the A1, what would you choose if buying today?

The images aren't as sharp and detailed as my Canon 5dsr. I own the Alpha 1 as well. Most likely the difference is because the Sony has an AA filter (although many people think it doesn't!) and the Canon doesn't. The Sony kills the Canon for dynamic range, however.
@JuanPons
@JuanPons 2 жыл бұрын
All images require a certain level of sharpening in post processing, so while I have not seen the difference you mention, that would not bother since I would apply selective sharpening in post that would make any difference between the two a non-issue.
@markrigg6623
@markrigg6623 2 жыл бұрын
Applying Sharpening is not quite as good as having an intrinsically sharper file due to the lack of a blur filter. You won't always be able to see the difference at common output sizes however. You can't actually sharpen a photo, what we call sharpenig is a trick with edge contast to fool our brains, as you're probably aware. There are quit a few photographers who don't sharpen photos because they haven't been made blurry in the first place. !
@markrigg6623
@markrigg6623 2 жыл бұрын
@@njrtech The A1 has an AA filter and the DSR doesn't. That makes the sharpness difference. The Sony is superior in all other regards but not sharpness. The comparisons are using the same lens.
