Beautiful form, and nice use of the epoxy rings. Using a roughing gouge or bowl gouge horizontally or as flat as you show can be dangerous inviting a deep catch. Especially with the tool rest as far away from the work. Better to drop the handle and use the bevel to control the depth of the cut. This also makes the cut a slicing action and not a grain-tearing scrape. I also suspect that the HSS tools should be sharpened to prevent the parting tool chatter at about 08.30 (ish)

Such a wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing. Quick question if you don't mind? Did you use hot glue to make for mould? if so what type do you use? Thanks, Mike

Yeah, we're talking worldly ! .... I would not call that worthy of a king. That's commoner class people. A king would expect far better ! .... You would likely be thrown in a dungeon. For disrespecting a king. YOU WOULD HAVE TO STEP IT UP TO ROYALTY LEVEL. You must not have much respect for a king.

I did something similar, but I put the sticks in a 2 liter soda bottle so the stock would start off round. Saved time, saved tools, & a lot less mess.

*You can make a MUCH better video by speeding up (or deleting) repetitive or slow procedures. Example; Don’t need to watch resin slowly drip and set, or see every chip of sawdust come off the lathe!* Nice work.
