Parking lot isn't really needed. People arrive via the entrance path. They clearly don't drive there

Contrary to what you would think, don't go on a day you know will be quiet. Previously, this would have been a good tactic to get on a lot of rides and less queuing time. But now, when it's quite, they restrict the availability of rides. So not all the big ones are available at the same time and it keeps you in a queue longer for the ones that are. Reduces usage of rides and maintenance costs.

I love the smiler it's my favourite ride at alton towers. The front row is my favourite. The smiler is the main reason i wanted to try alton towers as I've never been before and it didn't disappoint. Alton towers has some great roller coasters.

My tips. Take your own food the food there is expensive. When you go in go left or right and follow the park round to save criss crossing the park and waisting time Do not go on a windy day. Alot of rides will be closed
