The biggest bugbear in modern racing are safety car interruptions.While racing gets ever faster the emergency vehicles seem to get slower. Clearing crashed cars takes forever. Surely a vehicle like those used to move containers or logs where they straddle what is to be moved would make car removal way quicker than a tilt tray truck. Also tracks need multiple exit points rather than having the crashed car do a parade lap.

Imagine if a body part flies into the crowd or hits a marshal? It's the NAPA cars that over and over have those arches coming loose. Other teams have taken steps to secure their bodywork (Excelr8 added an additional bonnet catch for example) so NAPA just need to do a better job IMO.

@@neozone_hyrax.raw. Why wouldn't it be a penalty? It's a non-contact sport and always has been. Back when teams paid their drivers and spent millions to go racing it didn't matter. Now that the majority of drivers in BTCC are paying for the damage out of their own pockets it's a different world.

If you completely ban all contact you really limit the amount of good racing in touring cars. If rubbing isn't racing then you are going to have a procession more often than not.

Rubbing is racing, sure, and plenty of door handle-to-door handle racing is desirable, but remember, racing is chasing too, and a driver that can come up on the car in front of him and overtake that car with no contact has its own appeal.

Rubbing isn't racing. It's a non-contact sport. The amount of damage in these races is causing all sorts of budget problems for drivers who used to be on the grid. Might look good but it's drivers footing the bill.

I'm sorry, but calling these clips highlights is utterly pathetic. Someone watching this would surmise that the first race was only two laps long? BTCC you MUST do better......... please lose that idiotic intro and the unnecessary recap. It's like you don't read the comments........ or you do, but think you know best? The comments are all the same every week, and they all complain about the lack of quality of these highlights.

Without sounding too negative and not knowing the whole story, whoever is in charge of doing the highlights for BTCC really needs to stop and take advice or watch how F1 does their youtube package. Barely any action shown on race 1. No after meeting standings given to the viewers. I hope you giys can sort it out as this really doesn't help spread the positive vibes of BTCC. Hoping for better highlights in 2 weeks time. Been a great action packed season so far.

What is the point when you don’t even tell important information like how Ingram lost the race win in the second race? Nor do you show the standings before or after the story of the day. Another fabulous race weekend by BTCC! So happy Ash managed to FINALLY get his 1st Win of the 2024 Season! Now there's a sentence I never thought I'd say/type LOL!

It was a good thing Ash finished outside the Top-3 in Race 2, cause only 1st, 2nd and 3rd had to go to the Ride-Hight. He didn't hit Hill. He hit the curb at Cob on Lap 1 while his left-front-tyre was still a bit cold. But the hero of the BTCC got his 40th career win in Race 3. For those who're wondering about Ingram overtaking Hill under a yellow-light, it wasn't the yellow-no-overtaking-light, cause if it was, it would've been flashing. It was a red-and-yellow-slippery-surface-light, cause it had a red-line in the middle.
