Hi! I’ve come across a clear stein from 1988. It’s clear crystal with a pewter top marked “fahrtraining salzburgring 15./16.10.1988” and has “1. platz” in the middle. Im trying to find out more info. I also have trophies from various years that are marked “int.sportfahrerlehrgang nurburgring”. Would love to hear your thoughts or if you can lead me in the right direction! Thank you!

the bad thing whit this bike,is the stock carb,it's a big restriction and replacing it whit f.ex. the mikuni tm40 makes a new bike..much more fun and "snappy" to ride, together whit a full aftermarket exhaust, f.ex. acrapovic and the bike really comes alive, also a smaller front and a bigger rear sproket makes it even better offroad, mine is set up to max out at about 145 kph,and for me that means a low more fun and "grunt" offroad

Have the same 1.100GS from 1995 with 72.000km - no oil consumption between the oil changes - best bike I ever had👍

Danke für deine Videos. Ich habe diese immer sehr gerne geschaut und hoffe, dass vl. Irgendwann wieder welche von dir kommen. Ich habe dich auch mal (vor Jahren) durch Salzburg Stadt fahren sehen - die V-Strom war leicht zu erkennen :) Vielleicht läuft oder fährt man sich einmal über den Weg, da ich glaube, dass wir fast Nachbarn sind. Die linke Hand zu Gruß und LG aus Salzburg, Gerhard, Honda Varadero :)

I was thinking to get my first bike a Bmw Dakar, but You made me think again and go for a Japanese one. Can you recommend a few please. I use an equally comfortable seat for two people and lighter in weight if possible. Thanks a lot.

Well, I found the Yamaha XT660 R very useful, V-Stroms are also a good tool but not sure if too heavy for you. But I think one can generally say that Japanese are more attractive for first bike owners as they are cheaper to buy and maintain, if one takes them to a private garage/workshop

Own a Dommie at the moment 2003 and only 12000 miles all very clean and all original components ,love this single cylinder thumper . Use it for green laning and every day use and keep my R 9T for the weekends .😁🇬🇧🏍👍

I put 20000+ miles on my 02 model and loved it. No problems whatsoever. I agree with you on the vibrations though. It was a bike which was ahead of its time in concept. I wish I still had it.

Alexis I bought back in 1989 a 1988 NX 250 for $1450.00 used and rode it for 19 years as my daily rider , had over 100K on the odo.and did ride it from Canada to New York on many occasions. Never touched the carb or engine and I had the original front tire with the original air from the dealer.I truly enjoyed it and it did not vibrate at all. Now I ride a Beta 390 beta 200 and gs 1200 all for practicing. Thank you for this video.

Yes, I was misinformed at the time that I would have to buy a new headlight. I later found out that changes could be made so that oncoming traffic is not affected as the headlight illuminates the side of the road as well.

I am planning to buy a biike like this...I can afford newer bike like the Africa Twin but I want to start with something small. I am no pro rider, I have a Sportster 1200 as my first bike and I ride it like an old man. Is this bike good, reliable? some friends of mine said it's very bad

Try getting hold of the Yamaha XT 660R if you can, or go for a V-Strom with lower mileage. Reviews of both motorcycles are on this channel.

I have the same kmx on my page that got stolen unfortunately in November there’s only 6 of this colour kmx on the road in the uk I have the twin sister to my old one that got stolen in November cracking bikes!

I have a 05 GS 1200 and I love it. Easy to work on. I also have 05 F650GS not the Dakar. It is a pain to work on, I'm selling it.

I always bring my motorcycles to the mechanic as I am worried about causing damage. I do simple things, but leave other issues to the experts. Respect to those who can fix things themselves

@@EnduroAlexis Thank but I go real slowly to make sure I don't screw it up. There's a video (DVD) made that takes you step by step on oil changes for engine, transmission and final drive. It also covers valve adjustment, alternator, carb balancing and break service. This is through JVB Productions. Happy Riding
