I would NEVER buy a ac compressor from amazon. and now Im very careful on ordering any type of parts from them. I spend extra time reading the fine print on the page before ordering now. I made a small mistake ordering one from amazon 2.5 yrs ago. I ordered one for my pt cruiser, a 4 seasons brand, turns out I ordered it for a stick shift and not a automatic trans. I tried to return it and they said no return. I caught the mistake after opening the box. the compressor to this day is still sealed in the factory plastic and never pulled out of the box. I still have the compressor sitting in the box in my shed on a shelf. $238 bucks wasted and I would not spend more money on another expensive compressor so I pulled one from a salvage yard and it still works great today
@KGsGarage4 күн бұрын
Just make sure to buy a good brand name and make sure you that the correct part number. I don't see why buying it from amazon would be any different then buying it somewhere else.

No, it still overheated.. the only thing that fixed it was hooking the fans up to automatically come on with the ignition. It's kind of rigged but it works.

Their weren't any symptoms, I was replacing the compressor and figured might as well make the system brand new again.. and it's working awesome.. You can do a google search, different pressures on your gauges will lead you to what's wrong.

If the alternator has a lot of engine oil on it, the spool valve gasket is probably leaking and dripping on to the alternator. It will kill the alternator eventually. Don't by a "Honda" spool valve gasket online, they are all fake. Honda doesn't sell the gasket separately , only the entire spool valve assembly. Normally only the gasket and the top half of the spool valve are replaced. It is a much bigger job to replace the entire spool valve. The lower half of the new spool valve assembly can be used as a paperweight :)

i had oil around one of mine, i was able to just tighten the bolts and so far so good. it was the bolt under the coil, it had to have been a tad loose as they can only tighten just so much with the metal part in the plastic.

Hopefully that will fix it but the seals around the valve cover do dry out and start leaking. If you find oil in the sparkpluyg hole leaking valve covers are the cause.
