I have a 92 typhoon and I couldn't keep it running for more than a month and a half. I'm currently getting a complete wire harness done, eliminating my factory distributor for a dual sync distributor as my ignition control module and old wiring was causing my problems. It will be will have sfi fuel injection instead of the factory batch fire and it will be controlled by a maxxecu after market ecu. The ignition system on these are very poor especially after years of weather and turbo heat.

i don't know if you're going the correct route. I drove my Syclone when it was stock as a daily driver for many years. It only became unreliable when I started to modify it and deviate away from stock. Give Sportmachines a call and see if they can help you out before you go crazy replacing everything.

@@KGsGarage Well Sean from SK Kustoms he was suggesting that the Holley conversation making trucks being more reliable. I also have a grandnational and I feel that setup in my opinion is superior to the set up that the typhoon/syclone has minus the awd from the trucks. My motor is built and to be honest my problem has been my distributor and the ICM as I have replaced the ICM around 10 times. I'm not going for crazy numbers around 4 to 500hp. I'm actually 15k in on the harness and the distributor. I would increase the power only if I do the 4l80e transmission conversion. I'm using maxxecu I guess I will see how it functions before I draw any conclusions.
