They look delicious. Question: You live in the Tulsa area. You like Baby Rays bbq sauce. But have you ever tried Head Country? Made in Ponca City? I lived in Bartlesville for 15 years but worked in Tulsa. I have to say Head Country has always been my favorite. I have lived in Houston now for 9 years. And Head Country is still my favorite. We have Kroger and HEB. and Head Country sells fast. Baby Rays is always on the shelf. Lol. So, I'm wondering, have you tried Head Country? Maybe do a blind taste test? Lol.

@@markwindholz816 honestly it's not that I prefer sweet baby rays more, it's just I what I saw first at Walmart when I was looking for a sweet bbq sauce ha. My next video coming out I'm using a ps seasoning bbq sauce. But as a Oklahoman I should get some Head Country and start using them more, see if I can get them to check out my cooks ha. Thanks for watching!

What’s a good small smoker for a beginner?
@GorillaJoesBBQ
@GorillaJoesBBQ 21 күн бұрын
If you are wanting an entry level pellet smoker, Zgrills offers affordable and capable smokers. If you are wanting a Charcoal/wood smoker the Weber Smokey mountain is a great choice, but the smallest size really limits what you can put in it, and the bigger sizes get pretty pricey. A great alternative to those is a gravity fed smoker, the smaller Masterbuilt gravity smoker is a great option to get wood smoker flavor with the ease of a pellet! A lot of times you can find any of these options on facebook marketplace if you are willing to do a little clean up work!

How much did you materials cost?
@GorillaJoesBBQ
@GorillaJoesBBQ 29 күн бұрын
I didn't track everything but I can give you a rough estimate. Pipes - $250, I had 3 and only used 1, I was planning on using the second as the firebox so I wont count the metal from the firebox. Metal tubing, angle iron, expanded metal - ~150 Grinding Discs/Flap Disks - ~50 Wheels ~100 Misc ~50 So around 600 total, I am not counting the grinder and chop saw I bought because those will be used on other projects, and the welder was my dads he is letting me use.

Excellent build, Joe. Man, a lot of work. Too bad you didn't have a sand blaster to clean it rather than a wire wheel. Quicker and easier. The large fire box is awesome. The problem I've seen with offsets is that a lot of them have too small firebox. And makes it difficult to maintain temperature. Yours is perfect size. One thing i would do differently is weld the firebox higher onto the barrel. Then, install a baffle or bypass. So that your heat flow that travels on top and below are even with each other. For example, when you do your biscuit test, your biscuits will be even from front to back and even from the bottom of the biscuits and top. Your design on your exhaust stack is perfect. Im anxious to see your biscuit test and see the results..
@GorillaJoesBBQ
@GorillaJoesBBQ 29 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching Mark! I actually have some plans for a moveable baffle that I can place in, I may say this is my last offset smoker build video, but I still have some modifications I want to do to it! I have some new sturdier wheels to put on, and then that internal movable baffle. Biscuit test is the next thing for sure!
