my virtual faders are locked, not sure if that is discussed here, but any help on that would be appreciated. I basically connect my iphone 15 pro to the mixer and want to use the voice changer fx, also want to be able to play a song on the iphone while on the call right now i can talk when its in bluetooth mode, but i see tutorials online that allow people to take calls when plugged in but for some reason my pro 2 duo isn't able to do that, updated the firmware, but there seems to be no obvious solution. Connected to usb 2 in mix minus mode.

A piss poor design for journalists who want to use a mic flag. Also, the USB c connector is in an awful place. I don't want to have the mic untwisted and a cable sticking out half way up the mic on video for podcasts. Also, a cardioid option should be offered. Making people just use omni is not good. Come on Rode.

This is so simple, yet so unbelievably effective... glad I found this clip and put it into use. The best part? As I poked and prodded with creating the new profile, I realized I could use one deck to open pages on another deck. This means I can use my "starter" 3x2 as a controller to navigate the 5x3. Ended up rewiring everything for my stream controllers in the process, and it is a much leaner, cleaner setup across the board.

If your are a Windows user, one can make a Long press command using BarRaiders Super Macro. You can even set the time you have to press the button before action, up to a Second. None the less, this does work. Someone def knows how to think out side the box.

What is the function of pressing the button on the left Stream Deck at 7:10?
@TakeOneTech
@TakeOneTech 15 күн бұрын
It is a Folder (right click on a button, then select Add Folder) I was demonstrating the new feature that we can now 'auto exit folders... so you press the folder button to enter the folder full of actions, but then as soon as you trigger one of the actions within that folder it auto exits the folder. Really great for collections of actions that you use occasionally or that are logically grouped together.

Vivomeetings recently breached contractual agreement with original AppSumo campaign Tier 7 (top) customers. What was once their proudly advertised 'Unlimited Drive' is now being downgraded to 10GB (unless you complain, which they then give 30GB). Adding insult to injury, they are now requiring a payment of $1.50 per GB for the original Tier 7 customers in excess of the new limits for what was originally promised to them. Why are they doing this? This is all in the name of 'fair use,' which they only recently created and arbitrarily determined what constitutes as such. For context, new Tier 7 customers have 10GB allocated. That is about 7-10 hour-long meetings before they will either be auto charged or their files begin to be auto deleted. When I complained about the breach on AppSumo, the Vivomeetings support team tried to unilaterally force a refund. This is just so upsetting and shows a lack of commitment to LTD customers.

This is amazing because you are talking about my situation. I have had the Desview T2 then the Desview T3 with the A7 Lilliput for the last 4 years. I recently purchased the larger 10 in Lilliput but I had to get a tablet stand to hold it and position it under the Desview. This for me to to cumbersome and not as clean as using the smaller A7. I have been looking into the Elgato promoter even before it was released. After reading the resolution I thought that I wouldn’t be as clear as the Lilliput. Is the picture on the Elgato just as clear and the Lilliput? Thanks
@TakeOneTech
@TakeOneTech 19 күн бұрын
Technically the screen quality on the lilliputs will be superior to the Elgato prompter.... they are after all intended as precision field monitors and are both 4K, while the Elgato is 1024 x 600. however Even on my 12" Lilliput I set my resolution to 720p because I want the interface elements to be larger on the screen. So in that respect I believe Elgato made the right choice with resolution. I mentioned in the livestream that I did notice some issues with the Elgato when I have anything light coloured on the screen... it seems to give a 'misty' glow in the camera output. I can only think that this is related to the glass they have used in reflector. People have said "just turn down the monitor brightness' but it is not something I have ever experiences with any of my other teleprompters, so it does seem specific to the Elgato Prompter. I ultimately upgraded my 7" lilliput & Desview T3 combo to a lager teleprompter with a 12.5" liilliput. I prefer the larger size as I find it much better on Zoom calls which is my primary use case. Therefore I will not be switching to the Elgato prompter as it feels like a distinct downgrade in screen size. However since you have said that you found the larger screen setup more cumbersome, then you will definitely like the Prompter... it is a significant upgrade on the 7" lilliput in terms of screen real estate without adding much more bulk. In fact, given that it is all in one, it almost feels less bulky than the Desview/Lilliput combo. Hope that helps! :-)

Subscribed. Although i am not yet back on my mac, and not photo-oriented, your demonstration was very helpful. I‘m working on iPad M2 pro, and see most defaults match basic functions available on MX Master mouse 3. i customized the two side buttons to make up for the less than comfortable thumbwheel horizontal scrolling. I heard that there were were problems with the M1 macs and the Logitech option software. For the mac min, I am hoping the MacOs defaults are present there, too. I don‘t foresee need for dpi at 8k. Any tips for my return to the Mac? Havent touched it for months.

I would have expected (and appreciated) a device that connects to an XLR handheld mic adding wireless, onboard recording etc. But they chose to make a standalone mic. And with a standalone reporter mic, I would have preferred to have a selection of polarbpatters... Cardioid, omni, figure-eight, super/hypercardioid. Would have made more sense.

Fantastic tutorial as always Alec, really love these productivity lessons, thanks so much!! Quick question, I know you don't edit your vids, great idea, takes ages, but in Premiere Pro, they don't offer a way to add presets and effects with shortcuts, you have to choose them from the list and drag them onto the clips. Do you reckon it could be done with Keyboard Maestro? Thanks all the best
@TakeOneTech
@TakeOneTech 19 күн бұрын
Technically Keyboard Maestro has the ability to perform 'click and drag' actions, so if there is something that you are doing manually, it could therefore potentially be simulated with Keyboard Maestro. However, the trick will be know exactly where to drag it to. Whilst you can 'click on found image' as demonstrated in the video (so you could just use an image of the name of the preset for example, wherever that may be... the end point of the drag (ie the clip) may not always be the same, nor would the name. So this may be a little tricky. If there was keyboard shortcut or menu item to simple 'apply to clip' that would be much simpler... either activate from the preset itself, or from the clip perhaps in an 'apply preset' menu... may not be feasible though. Feel free to join the discord here www.takeonetech.io/family and if you drop a screen recording of the workflow into the automation section, I'll happily take a look and let you know if/how it could be done with Keyboard Maestro.
@marcuscarter
@marcuscarter 19 күн бұрын
Hi Alec, thanks for that answer, unfortunately there is no menu option to apply effect/preset, nor can you double click on them any more so I think it's going to be a bit difficult (personally I think it's ridiculous for a piece of software that is so popular like Premiere Pro in which you have to repeat effects over and over that you can't assign hotkeys to them). I'll join your discord anyway (I must say, I only use discord for midjourney at present so I'm no pro there). I think I will hire you on a call in the end as I'm having a lot of routing probs with my rodecaster Duo so expect to see me soon 😊

This video is 3 years old, before pages existed on Stream deck. I'd also only been creating KZbin videos for about 1 month, so hadn't really got my processes down! All videos on. my channel are made in one take with no edits and so I do have a tendency to waffle, but that was really the point of the channel.... for me to get better at not doing that. I've improved slightly since this video was posted.

For someone who has both. I end up giving away my Loupedeck. It’s glitchy and sometimes the learning curve is intense for it. I want to create and making shortcut should be easy. Loupedeck software is so complicated to me. Even making shortcut for photoshop is not working with script for me. With stream deck. It’s done within 10 seconds and hot keys work directly toward my actions. Unfortunately Loupedeck needs to update the software to be more user friendly. The device for me is suppose to be helping you to get better productivity not the other way around. Just my experience.
