I didn’t know Wishtrend doesn’t make the Cerra-Barrier Soothimg Ampoule anymore 😢. I have been using AMPLE:N Ceramide Shot Ampoule. This also helps heal and sooth the barrier. 😊

Watching this just made me think my skin is always slightly irritated 🤣 maybe I should try some of these things for a bit and see how that goes
@amandak.424619 сағат бұрын
the unpleasant texture of the la roche posay is because of the active ingredient, dimethicone

omg i have allergic reation to tamanu oil as well. my entire face would swell to the point that i can't open my yes if anything with tamanu oil touch my face. its red, itchy, hot and painful to the touch. Eucerin pH5.5 cleanser, make prem toner, avene thermal spring water, aloe gel, cicaplast baume is always my go to routine. the make prem toner work very well to combat the dehydration after the swelling goes down, avene thermal spring water and alcohol free aloe gel is to calm & cool down my skin from the redness and itchiness. cicaplast work the best on any circumstances

For someone with dry skin, cleansing, moisturizer and layering if off with the good old Vaseline has proven to heal the barrier quicker. Just change your pillow cover more often, daily if possible while using this routine.

Hi Tina, thanks for sharing this! I'm 42yo (w oily/combo sensitive skin) and had a horrible allergic reaction to expired makeup (didn't know it was expired when I put it on) and my skin had the exact symptoms --- super texture, dermatitis/eczema, hot, welts, itchy, etc. My dermatologist recommended a routine super similar to what you described here. Dial back everything, just gentle cleanser and that la Roche Posay cicaplast balm. since my reaction symptoms were so severe, it took a few weeks to heal completely but I for sure know what to do anytime I feel the slightest tingle of a reaction to a product. Cheers ❤

This is very helpful I have been looking for ceramides creams and so far I don’t like the texture of them. Your lighting in the bathroom is good, don’t worry about it. I do love the cicaplast cream, I tried the gel and didn’t like, the serum works well for summer.

Hi Tina! I’ve been watching your videos for a while and I always enjoy them! Just a note that Elidel is not like hydrocortisone - they can be used for the same skin conditions but they work completely differently and have many differences. Just think it’s important not to spread misinformation about medications (:
@TinaTanakaHarris2 күн бұрын
thank you for picking up on that! That probably would have been a better way to word it - I did mean it in the sense of 'they work for the same skin conditions' 😅😅

I wonder if the excessive skin care and constant change and try out of products that causes skin barrier issues at so many people. The rise of new products and testing those is probably the root in many cases.

I switched from my Numbuzin toner number 3 to the toner nimber 1, and my skin got SO dry, clogged, bumpy and red 😢 Been like this even after going back to the toner 3 for over a week 😢 I do double cleanse so I might stop that and get the cerave one instead. Then toner 3, skin1004 madegascar essence, then etude barrier 2x cream. What to change???
@TinaTanakaHarris3 күн бұрын
gah I am so sorry that happened 🥲 so even thought no.3 was fine before maybe switch to something simpler since it still has lots of fermented ingredients. your skin might like this usually (mine does too!) but it may overwhelm it if it is fragile atm! the other 2 products sound good so maybe see how you go with just changing the toner 👍

I also don’t enjoy the filmy feeling that the cerave cleanser leaves behind either:( I feel like eventually it starts to clogged my pores. I wanted to recommend the La Roche Posay toleriane hydrating gentle cleanser! I think you’ll like the feel a bit more while still getting the same gentle hydrating benefits! I’m not sure if you tried it before but I definitely recommend it if you haven’t! Much love for Las Vegas, NV!
