That color was one of the worst about fading. My. mother had a 68 Mercury that color that stayed in the garage when not being driven. The sides were not faded but the top and hood and trunk lid were about three shades lighter.

We had one bought new. By '73 it had rust holes in the rear quarter panels big enough to put your head through. Must have been dipped in salt at the factory.

Most impressive. But where is the Radio antenna? Should be on the right rear quarter.

Back in the day about 80% are those Ford. Wagonsixty 9 and 70 had broken taillight lenses due to the. Awkward design they almost stick out further than the bumper

NOT a Cobra and never was. FYI, the 429 SCJ is NOT the same as a 429 CJ. Two totally different engines.

1960 Ford Galaxies and Edsels look great in red. Hopefully, someone who cares for this car owns it now and is taking loving care of it.

A flipping beautiful Beast this was! We had one briefly around '73, might well have been a 69. The 390 logo appeared on the headlight louver and they helped make the car's Allure! Sadly, it lived up to the FORD acronym Chevy/GM fans remember, and she was gone after about 6 months in favor of an Olds Delta 88 sedan-not Royale-with a 350 Rocket. But as not to dump on Ford, I owned an '88 F250 that wouldn't quit! No Fixed Or Repaired Daily there!! 😊❤

That wagon is from an error where at 100,000 miles a car was considered junk and just automatically scrapped. Yes this was a real thing.
