66 fairlane w/289 2bbl was my first car. bought it in las vegas from a older lady who thought it was dead but my dad was a ford mechanic and somehow knew it only needed a water pump. so we got the car for $150.00. slapped a new pump in er and a western auto battery, she was as good as new. it was a goverment car from the nuclear test site in nevada before the lady purchased it so it was a dull flat gray. had a bench seat and was an automatic. ran like the wind, could lay some rubber and was very dependable. had it for many years until my two older brothers were drunk and wrecked it on an esplanade and abandoned it in houston.
