At least from a distance you don't notice most of it. 😂

There’s a certain irony in a robot whinging about soulless corporate architecture. AI rules, OK?

Tall buildings should stand out like trophies. To show how far your cities have come. And where you’re hoping to lead. A representation of what it stands for.

And respecting its history with blends of modern and detailed past.

No one respects these developers who make these bland boring boxes or rectangular buildings. Cheaper ain’t ever better. Quality is what makes the name for a company not how many it sells. Right?

Ya I like square boxes that have nice shape. But in amongst other shiny buildi g it won’t stand out the way it’s meant. Making it look cold with other cold buildings. But agree. Shape is as important as function. But going cheap for the sake of money isn’t an excuse. All larger Buildings that will be seen from most areas should always have some class to them. Artist expression that represents the current times And the history of who the people are a new age style that all can come to compromise on. We all have to look at them. But more over, the people living there or where ever they are built should have the final say of approval not some council.

As much as I agree with your first point, I must add that the "NIMBY" attitude that some city residents have towards large scale urban developments such as this one are only going to cause more issues in terms of economic efficiency in the city and helping to create more jobs etc, than if the largest part of the responsibility for granting planning permissions remained in the power of local authorities.

Something like New York's 432 Park Avenue would look amazing in that position.

Oh, the irony of a soulless AI voice mispronouncing its words while slagging off a City high rise 😂 The City is already a corporate jungle, so this proposed emblem of London’s financial superpower status won’t do any harm. The previous cross-brace design is just a cheap, unimaginative knock-off of Norman Foster’s inside-out concept structures, like the HSBC building in Hong Kong

Firstly, I would like to apologize for waiting 4 months to reply to your comment. FYI, I only used a voice synthesizer in this video as I was recording late at night and didn't want to disturb the people around me, though I am sorry if some words were mispronounced in the video. secondly, although I very much appreciate the amount of new office space that this building will contribute to London's key financial hub, I still do believe that it could be done in a way which doesn't feel as sloppy and dare I say, rushed in the way that this newly proposed design appears to be. Nevertheless, it is still greatly needed so I am still very pleased to see projects like this happening.

London needs to go tall. It's the 21st century 😊😊

Dislike the revised design! Prefer the original design with its cross bracings. That was the most normal style within the cluster of weird and wacky! This new design is so dull and excessively overpriced for it's height!

This building is pointless and will be a waste of taxpayer money. Also, it will be obstructed by other buildings around it.

I think it would be better if you made the video with ether your real voice or a better ai voice And yeah the new undershaft design looks like a 70s brutalist tower block
@Willy_Wizz10 ай бұрын
I completely agree jack. Its ridiculous that a building this significant looks this boring especially with a name such as wonder shaft. I much preferred the older design. There is also an even older design that makes it look like an extension to the cheese grater probably my preference.
@adamknight704110 ай бұрын
Should have kept the old design with the additional floor and height increase although would it be too much to ask to say make a tower officially taller then The Shard even if not by a huge amount say like 320m - 1050Ft with a more architecturally attractive design?
