@urbanizeddreams2 ай бұрын
Hey, I feel you. I personally don't like the look of the single tip. I prefer the OEM look, or those beautiful STI JDM mufflers. Only issue was the STI JDM mufflers is the drone. I honestly wish Fujitsubo would make a more tamed look, since there options for the VAB WRX/STI generation kind of suck. You have either this single tip, the dual canon look or the more OEM look, but with carbon fibers tips which I don't like either since they look horrible over time due to exhaust heat ruining the finish. Also for me personally, carbon fiber tips looks tacky. And the price on the Authorize RM+C is so expensive, that the single tip just makes so much more sense. ~ The only reason I just stick with Fujitsubo only is because it's generally the quietest option, the build quality and zero drone. As for single tip, it's nice in regards to weight savings, especially with how heavy modern cars are. That is one main reason why I will stick with the single tip. ~ For 86/BRZ, Fujtsubo has he nice option of the Authorize R which actually looks superb on those cars. I had it on my FRS and loved the sound/looks.

at the time of this video, did you do anything else to the shifting linkage? any bushings, plates, rods, anything? Most stock shifters the STI included, are designed "soft" for comfy test drives. Manufacturers don't want intrusive vibrations messing up the feel, so they design things to absorb NVH; and the shift linkage is one of those places that gets the soft, isolation treatment.

They just say it for legal reasons since they don't officially sell the product in North America. Cusco says the same for there tower bar "Only for Japan" Some dealerships in North America offer the STI tower bar since they import them from Japan.

As an AE86 Sprinter Trueno (Zenki) owner, let me tell you why Kyosho looks more like a Chinese product for the price compared with Autoart. First, you pointed out the license plates and preferred Kyoso, in Japan, we are not using that kind of number proportion, and the green tone is wrong compared with Autoart. Second, the front Trueno emblem is completely wrong, chrome finish? WTF? Only Black Limited had a golden chrome finish emblem in real life; again, Autoart is better in that aspect. Regarding the thing you asked, about taillights, Kyosho recycled their other models and used kouki rear molding. Yes, it should appear Sprinter, not speaking about how wrong the tail lights looks compared. No, is not because it looks from Levin, they are just wrong; actually, some 3-door Levins are bigger than narrow because the top black line is not there. And it's a common practice by used car resellers here to paint the top part (lol) A thing you missed but confirms my theory, the rear bumper on Kyoso is from a kouki! Not zenki. On Autoart is correct. The position of the rear sticket is just wrong on Kyosho, on Autoart is correct (you will be surprised at how many times even real AE86 Japanese owners are misplacing those here too, haha). A thing Kyosho made better is the Watanabe wheels color, which for Initial D should be on gunmetal like the ones I have on my AE86. But this mistake is quite common on official products to just leave them black. Anyway, Kyosho failed to make the front and rear wheels exactly the same. Autoart considered the dust cap on the front wheels, since those needed to be covered to keep the grease inside without any dust from the road. Checking the front bumper again, indeed, Kyosho kind of reformed a weird kouki front bumper to look like zenki. I wonder if the makers even they took references from a converted kouki... Because they even compensate for the black line ending in the middle of the height of the corner indicators... About the door sun visor, Kyosho omited that detail for some reason. In a model of that scale, keeping in mind they already had the Trueno emblem on the side moldings of the car, they could add it there. Again, I start thinking they took references from converted kouki which the workshop did the “initial D wannabe” modification, using any door sun visor. I have the originals from Toyota, and indeed, they are chromed with the Trueno logo. Regarding the end of the video, the paint, to be honest, this could change in real life since I don't know if the white balance is correct, but Kyoso for my taste, will be more accurate in terms of tone. Autoart looks as if they used the white tone of the kouki, but again, this last thing could be because of the white balance of the camera. I'm not sure why the Project D AE86 looks more creamy. Probably, as you said, because of the materials.

I bought a white VA STI from Hobby Japan since I have a WRX irl. I don’t think it has any qc issues but I haven’t looked too close at it as I bought it to sit on a shelf in my garage. After watching your videos, I’ll probably just stick to Tomica, Inno, MiniGT, and Tarmac. I’d love to see how you display your 1:64 stuff in a future video

Yeah I also have a VA WRX STI and bought the Hobby Japan STI RA-R version...and wow....another one with quality control issues. I should make a quick video about it....so disappointing since I paid $70.00 to bring it over from Hong Kong. My advice, if it looks good sealed....just keep it sealed, since when you open them, there is a good chance something can be wrong with it after closer inspection. As for display, I'll make a new video to show I how display the 1:64 collection which is now all Tomica, I'll reply again once I made the video.

Na klar, hattest auch Platten wo der A1 wirklich besser war als ein B Mix aber das war nicht immer so!

It came out during the time Tokyopop dubbed the series. Although the toys were good, the Tokyopop dub was AWFUL!!!! This is because there's no EUROBEAT!!! The voice acting sucked!!! Even Initial D Mountain Vengeance was a bad game. The arcade games were better than Mountain Vengeance. Too bad they took them out at local arcades sadly to make way for kiddy prize winning games.

I got their recent release with the bronze wheels and coloured hood. Thinking of getting the FC too, but the price isn't appealing to me for what it is. But what do you think?
@urbanizeddreams Жыл бұрын
Yeah, as much as I love Ignition models, the prices lately for the 1:18 scale is just way too expensive. I personally didn't end up buying the AE86 or the FC due to the high prices. I originally wanted the Initial D releases with figures, but they really annoyed me when they decided to release both at the exact same time....so I would of had to spend about $1400.00CDN(included shipping and customs) which was just ridiculous. So at the moment in time, I'm not buying anymore.
@xSignificant Жыл бұрын
Yup just insane, These Ignition Models are going $440CDN + taxes locally for me. Their Quality Checks isn't getting any better too... Sadly, no brands does JDM like they do. Just noticed from your other videos that you're in Ontario too, same as me.

Some people have complained about the radio edits but as a DJ now, I still collect both the radio and extended mixes. Thank you, Dream Dance!
