In season 2001/02 (the season to remember) Juventus had Marcelo Lippi back at Juve and then we saw Buffon, Thuram and Nedvad along with Marcelo Salas. This is season is reminding me of that one which will remain my favourite Mercato year. This season we already have Tiago Motta, then there is Di Gregorio, Douglas Luiz and in a few days Khepren Thuram and 'maybe' Koopmeiners or Sancho. If we manage that, this season mecarto will be a close one to that of 2001/02.

I'd take Loca over Rabiot every single time. Loca had to do a whole season of thankless dirty work and he did it well. I don't agree with the narrative that he had a particularly poor season, without him we would have conceded way, way more. On the other hand, I've had more than enough of this mercenary behaviour from Rabiot, especially after another mediocre season from him.
