I really don’t know what I want to happen. Even selling both Soulé and Chiesa doesn’t sound to bad if we are able to sign Bakayoko from PSV. I think as long as we get our key targets (Calafiori and Koopmeiners), and keep one of Soulé or Chiesa I’ll be very happy with this Mercato.

He's just fast, not a really good dribler. He tries so hard to leave his opponents behind with speed rather than techical moves. Basically, he just runs all over the place like a chicken.

I would be ok to move Chiesa but not to another serie a club. Agreed that it's either Soule or Chiesa but not both. I would give Soule a shot if it suits Motta. I find Chiesa too 'mercurial' and his showing in the last friendly shows why Motta might be reluctant to consider him in his system. Two players for Koop, I would say yes as well. Sad to see quality youngsters leave but you said it, Huijsen would leave eventually and his not ready for a starting spot but that depends on Calafiori. Iling is a nice offensive player but I think it's clear he was set to leave anyway. Giuntoli is feeding us a lot of news to process lol

I respectfully disagree on same takes. But thanks for your input/work as always. Roma and Napoli have absolute leverage due to the fact that the contract means in Feb 25 he can talk to anybody plus EPL has gone stone cold. This will end in the same way as Dybala (complacency) or sold for £20-£25M. No way Roma or Napoli pay £40M (they ain't even got it or £35M), but if he wants to stay in Italy despite no European competition they still hold sway esp as he likes De Rossi, Conte admires him and he is not getting the right signals from Motta. I can understand he is pissed as he sees the pet favours being showered towards Rabiot via Motta. That is beyond absurd to be offering him near £9M inc bonuses for 3 yrs so we know money isn't the issue. Plus Rabiot is nowhere near as productive. My bet is and has always been the thing nobody is mentioning. Beppe Marotta knows what is going on and I don't doubt for a second he will look to get him and is more than capable. They can offer him a starring role, European experience and to be honest don't hate the best assembled squad at the moment. Giuntoli gets credit for Kaio but with respect it's low hanging fruit and yet to be convinced he is an executive head chef like Marotta or Moggi. We say Roma cannot leverage us but Atalanta and Bologna are doing the exact same thing right now. Smaller clubs. Giants like Bayern humiliated us in our own HQ worst of all with de Ligt in terms of respect and we're too soft. We need to also be honest. How are we undervaluing our players all the time from 1 admin to the next. Marotta sold Onana for huge sums just 1 season. Lautaro has a £125M release clause. Barella £100M and Thuram (1 season) £80M. Look at Bremer, Chiesa etc. Got my eye on this geezer Giuntoli. No way the fans accept Chiesa sold for some Zhegrova/Kulusevski style 2.0

Chiesa can be pissed or want to leave amico but I respectfully disagree that he has leverage to get more out of us. That’s entirely separate. The offer of the same money is fair… there is no leverage there because Giuntoli isn’t budging and not scared to let him walk lmao. He just had a healthy season despite missing a month still lol and was invisible for two and a half months… he doesn’t have a whole lot of leverage for more when we are trying to also renegotiate with Dusan. It’s either he wants to leave or stay but to continue to reiterate that he wants to stay then he’s gonna have to give a bit too.

None are interested according to Talk Sport UK. Barca have no money and he couldn't get into the Real squad, better players ahead in that role not needed. He will never go to Saudi Pro League at this stage so it leaves only Italy. Rule 1 never sell to your competitors ever. That is why Marotta sends them abroad. If we sell him will we put an anti Inter clause... doubt it as we play too nice. The money thing I get. Giuntoli is a mid table guy. He doesn't have the mentality of building a Dynasty. He just wants to churn out players for profit and play moneyball. Motta wants yes-men that are easy to manage.
