I'm pretty sure sacred timeline isn't meant to be a strict term, it's just something Deadpool says because he's excited about MCU. Also I doubt they would dump a lot of real MCU lore in a Deadpool movie that's not fully MCU. Fun movie though

I enjoyed the hell out of this one. I do wish it did a little bit more as a sendoff to the Fox universe, but still good. I definitely like this one more than Deadpool 2 by a mile. Even though I knew the what to expect way before the film came out, it’s still a good time.

Have you ever read Lonesome Dove? It's a big book. The greatest Western of all time, and in my opinion one of the greatest books of all time. It took me 3 years to read that book. I would read a bit, and get bored. I read some more and got confused, because there were so many characters. SO so many characters, with so many side stories. Once in awhile I would pick it up and read a bit and give up again. But one day, I read a part of the book and something clicked. Before I knew it, I finished about 80% of the book within weeks. This movie, although nowhere near the story of Lonesome dove, seems to have the same ambition. It has too many characters, but I can see its charm. You just need to stick with it, like me, and maybe it will play out better in the 2nd chapter. I see all the things wrong with the 1st chapter, but I am already invested in the characters. Something that was hard to do with Dead don't hurt (Although I did like that move quite a bit). I completely agree with you about the problem with time in this movie. No idea how much time had passed, and the army with the mother thing. I wondered is this mother such a hoe?? You hit the nail on the head! LOL.

I definitely plan on watching chapter 2 and any others that come out in the theater. If they come out on a streaming service I can't guarantee that I'll watch. All I do is go to the movies and watch KZbin. From time to time I'll watch something from a streaming service. I go into all movies with the hope that I'll enjoy it, and so I'll do the same with the rest of the chapters.

The only real Problem with Horizon is that it should have been a TV show. If it was episodic on a Streaming service People would be calling it the next Game of Thrones. I was struck by it's historical accuracy and can't wait to see part two and get the entire saga on Blu-ray.
@redrobotmonkey

Couldn't agree more. The problem with making it a movie, is people need to have seen the previous instalments to care, and even if they did, they may still forget. TV shows they can easily look up a recap video, not so easy watching a movie in theatres. I am sure they will do a recap before the next movie, but how many people will even bother watching that? Also that is almost never done for movies in theatres.

A movie of this scope could be done in a theatrical format. The problem that I had was in the execution. Making a movie is hard enough. Making a good movie is almost impossible, but it can and has been done.

Your review is evidence that you and the film audience you are speaking for do not and have never read classic literature. This is a chapter, just the first chapter in a classic tale, a creative masterpiece. Review it as a classic literary work of art not just a movie but a cinematic adventure. Horizon is killing it on Vod & ITunes. The problem isn't that it's a bad movie, the problem is that people don't want to leave their house to see a movie, especially a long movie. The only way you're going to get people back in theaters is for something special like a Deadpool and Wolverine movie. Also Bad Boys ride or die made just under or just over $400 Million With a $100 Million production costs which as a nice round number is rather suspicious. As a big budget movie it also means that it's Marketing was at least $150 Million. So we can safely say that it probably actually cost some where in the ball park of 300 to 350 Million to make. So it wasn't really a big hit if it was even that. Next time you pick an example of a Hit try to remember the dirty little secret of Hollywood. That due to the high costs of these movies if they don't pass the 500 million mark they don't even break even. So in reality Bad Boys wasn't a hit it was a dude as well.
@daveclark8337

@@loslobos786 Horizon opened at #1 on VOD because it was the Only new release that week. Since then, it's dropped down behind all those same movies that beat it at the box office: A Quiet Place 3, Bad Boys 4, The Fall Guy, Furiosa, Despicable Me 4 etc etc. Even if Horizon were to hit $10 million in video sales, it's Still $100 million in the negative.

I didnt like the video. I have two main issues with the video. Number one: You critisize dialogue while your own voice is terribly monotone for two minutes. That really stood out as being bad. The second issue I have with review is how it is shorter than movies trailer. This is common issue I have with reviews: they seem to be presentation of subjective opinions instead of objective. There is one particular scene in this video where you just retell the story. As you can guess, and to noones surprise, the video is 2 minutes of spoilers. That really bring down the review for me. The way the evil entity plays around with characters is to build up a scene. If it haunted them in 5 minutes, we could pretty much go to cinemas to watch 5 minute shortfilms. I guess.
@QTReviews

Not to speak for any other reviewer, but reviews are subjective. I go into a movie with the objective of giving it a fair chance, and when the film ends, I either like the movie, think it's okay, or dislike the film. When I review a movie, I give my opinion on how I feel about the movie and try to give examples of the cause of that feeling. You may feel different, but that's okay. I may like a film that you may not like. Regarding spoiling the movie, I preface my videos with the warning that my review might spoil the story. I could make longer videos, but I don't want to waste the time of those watching my reviews with fluffer material. You may not like my style, but I do thank you for watching my video.
