The inner burr adjustment is not used to dial in grind size, that is what the outer grind dial is for. Each adjustment of the inner burr brings it closer to the conical burr below it until they touch and grind each other down. This is the case with your grinder. Listen to the sound of the grinder at 0:35 of your video and compare it to the sound of the grinder after you adjusted the burr at 4:19 of your video. Notice the higher pitch? This is from the burrs grinding each other down. The grinding sound will be more obvious if you run the grinder without any beans in.

Why do you measure it ? I Just fill it always same, you cant spot difference in tenths of gram. Each coffee bean can also have a different amount of caffeine so it's not so much the consistency even if you measure it. Just wasting time.

Everything is great about this video except for two things, and both are related to the nut. 1) don’t use pliers to undo the nut… it’s a good way to strip and mar it up… just use the correct size socket. 2) when replacing the nut, you need to know the correct torque specs so you don’t overdo it and seize up the grinder or underdo it and have the part come apart during operation leading to damage of the machine. Since you won’t be able to get the torque specs from Breville, you can test it with a torque wrench before taking it off. Set it low and attempt to slightly TIGHTEN the nut, gradually increasing the torque until there is movement in the nut which will give you the factory set torque.
