There was a SoD patch this year that broke macros in era. No longer she's the macro auto complete - example below You used to be able to type "/equip helmet of wrath" as "/equip helmet of wr" It was a way to run your own equipment sets without relying on macros and not exceeding the 255 character limit Now, the macro will only recognize full equipment names

Biggest problem with wow (all versions) is the player base. never happy and always finds a way to talk shit about every little thing. P1 and 2 was nice, Nightmare incursions was awesome for speed of leveling and gold making, and im sure its gonna be good in this last leveling phase. Ppl still after all this time still compare this version of the game to the 2004 version of the game. its not, and was not intended to be.

Keep in mind that twow started as an RP server so these graphical changes will really help w story telling for that part of the community. The leveling experience will feel fresh. Will it be as efficient? Might not be cuz seeing easier in old graphics makes everything simpler...but some of us have been on the server since its inception. Meaning we have too many alts lol. This is such a fresh way to see our fave version of this game. Im so hype they have done very VERY little wrong in my eyes.

TWoW was never focused on the sweaty tryhard culture the retail has. Its literally written on their website that roleplay and imersion are one of their foundations for this project. Their focus is also to keep the old warcraft 3 style storybuilding and artistic style. Its basically a fanfiction made after warcraft 3 frozen throne that went better then what retail came out with. Its safe from any pussyfication retail did to their world.

GDKP discussion is simple imo: Bots farm gold to sell for $ Players buy gold for GDKP bots -> gold selling -> GDKP bots are bad. gold selling is bad. GDKP fundamentally is fine. Blizz needs to break the chain and they can't seem to solve bots or gold selling. If you remove GDKP you remove the need for bots and gold selling. It's not the ideal solution but its the only solution for a team that continues to fail to solve the botting and gold selling issue. It's significantly better than doing nothing. Seems pretty straight forward to me. Only real counter argument is "Blizz should do better at stopping bots and gold buying", which I agree with - but blizz suck now so here we are. When GDKPS were banned the gold buying price instantly crashed overnight and botting networks fell apart. It worked.
