Never get tired of that engine whine of 747 while landing❤ Too bad that today most longhaul flights are operated claustrophobic twin jets :(

Awesome video Paul. This is a beautiful stone arch bridge and a nice old steamer chugging across. Great on-board view as well. 👍🏻🚂🚃🚃🚃

Great footage! I wonder why the engine became considerably louder halfway along the viaduct?

It really is stunning! Sadly in the many times I've flown into ZQN, I don't think I've ever flown in from the south but I'd love to one day. Admittedly the view flying between the mountains from the north is impressive.

@@paulstewart2ndchannel Likewise I have never come in from the south. I would love to, but the descent from the Crown Range following the Kawerau is probably the most dramatic approach I have ever seen as a passenger in a commercial jet - somewhat akin to arriving at Kai Tak. I have been on flights into tighter spots - like Quintin Lodge on the Milford many times back in the day, but that was a Mt. Cook Airlines Cessna 172.😆

It's strange, A330's CF6 doesn't remind me of CF6 on 747 or 767. CF6 on 747-400 and 767 sounds basically identical to each other. Yes, I know each has their own variants.
