I wish Tool would release some new songs in this earlier style. Yeah, the long, complicated time signatures and changes stuff is cool, but apparently it also takes years to make such an album. Just get in the studio and knock out some straight forward bangers like you used to do!

Just my opinion: tool would have kept a similar melodic structure but the vocals would have been at a slower, more relaxed and stretched out pace. It's still awesome though. Just doesn't quite capture tool's sound for me.

I'm regards to AI when you said the best results would be if you can imitate the style, someone did that with your Barbie Girl in the System of a Down style.
