Not only is Bowie on stage but your guitar player is Adrian freaking Belew. Who not only played with Bowie in the 70s but also Frank Zappa, Talking Heads AND King Crimson. Yea Trent had to smile during this performance. It was perfection.

To have David Bowie call you a brilliant lyricist, to have someone from the franchised world understand you is a great thing

This is better at 1.25 speed, don't know why Bowie drags so slow on this version, maybe the bad drummer

It's so weird, as a kid I was adoring Bowie and his music, but now I can't see or hear him any longer. I don't know why

I don't think the public understands how groundbreaking and influential Bowie's Berlin trilogy was to masses of left-field leaning artists coming up in the late 70s and early 80s. Entire genres that were one way or another influenced by his experimentation and "collecting" of different ideas that birthed new music soundscapes. It's why he invited people like Black Francis, Sonic Youth and Robert Smith to his 50th birthday bash at MSG. He was showing back the love. Another artist that is still around he had shown great love for was New Order.
