I bought this last year and was disappointed. Feels light and cheap after a Ford Transit Custom Diesel. Only drive in Economy mode and get 170 miles on full charge costing around £45. Ride height is poor and low down. Plastic dashboard is crappy. Information screens are not good and not user friendly with poor radio system. Handling is woolly and pathetic. I’m going to get rid of now. Stellantis after sales service is very bad. Going back to Ford transit.

Hey! Someone actually drove a van further than the pub to do a review - thank you. Even with road noise, more useful than the Fully Charged crew telling me "it's like car" 'cos they drove it round the block empty! Rant over - thank you

I had the ID.4 and my wife had the ID.3. Both brilliant cars! I would have loved an ID.BUZZ but they were too pricey. The updated version of this with the larger battery LWB and new screen you get in the ID.7 will be amazing!

Hi, any CCS 50kW charger have two different max values. One is the maximum output power but then there is also the maximum current of 125A. As the battery pack of the Buzz is quite lower than 400V you will never be able to charge at 50kW at an 50kW station. 🤓

Hi Nigel, I’ve loved the Buzz right from the concept and will watch your reviews as I’m considering a Buzz Cargo. I run a pressure washing business called PressureWashPro and use a Trafic Sport at the moment and carry a 500lt tank (not always full for safety reasons) plus a washer bolted down and maybe up 80kg of payload thereafter. The fact that you’ve owned other vans and now this means I can learn from your experience and not have to rely on anyone at VW, so don’t worry about being a KZbinr, your honest and authentic approach will be much appreciated Geoff Chown

Thank you for this review. A proper real world review. I have this van arriving today. I do between 30-75 miles a day. You mentioned you are cold in the van. Is the heater useless in your van.

Considering upgrading to one of these from a Cube running the large Bosh CX motor.... I am wondering if I would find the Rise under powered? Can you run them derestricted? I see they have twin pot breaks like my Cube which I feel under powered (but the Cube is heavier).. Anything you would change on the bike and can you offer any comparisons with other ebikes you have ridden on the trails and downhill?

Nice review, I've had my cargo about 3 weeks and is running about 3m/kwh It's a big upgrade on my previous Env200 which was faultless over 3yrs/34k mls. I don't seem to have cruise control did you do anything to enable it?

Great review and made me feel I’ve done the right thing ordering the buzz have thought about a second hand stelantis with 75kw but the buzz just looks the part . Can’t believe they don’t have heated seats essential in an EV cheaper and more efficient than using the heater 3m/kWh is the min you want from a van with 200 mile range

Test drove one today for the second time - I’m sure they all come with twin sliding doors in the uk because we drive on the right they already have one door as standard and it’s too much effort to lose a door for us - I’ve ordered it in white with standard like yours no bells & whistles but today I drove one with rear hatch and window in bulkhead & i prefer - can only get 2.8m/kWh at 60mph no heater in b mode - needs a reverse camera ! ACC on demo model brilliant - thanks for the reviews this one at 2k and earlier one

If range is really important to you why on Earth would you buy a £50k+ EV especially when considering the high mileage you’re doing on a yearly basis. I’m guessing you’re leasing these vans for no longer than 12-24m as depreciation becomes a major issue more so for EVs!
@coop69coop
@coop69coop Жыл бұрын
Fair enough questions , I have to have an ev for work and I need it to be a van. I could use a hybrid but there are no van hybrids that come close to meeting my requirements. I don’t think this van will depreciate to much , there’s a significant waiting list.

Great vid. 3m per KWh is good. I agree with you about prefering speed limiter to cruise control. I find apeed limiter much more efficient than cruise control on my Nissan ENV200. I manahe to get 4.1 m/KWh in winter, and 4.9 in summer (mostly drive 30-40mph) but I always drive with speed limiter and rarely use heaters. I stick to heated seats and steering wheel.
@colin7898
@colin7898 Жыл бұрын
Agree completely regarding using the limiter over cruise control. Far more efficient. Minimum 3.0 m/kWh with the heater on! Would be interesting to see you drive it “Citroen” style to see the difference in a like for like test. With the Citroen having the “desk” in the middle seat (which I use a lot to right up reports when charging) how have you found cabin storage? Particularly for the more valuable items? Think I’m going to have to arrange a test drive if it goes further and charges quicker than the Citroen/Peugeot to see what I can get out of it.
@coop69coop
@coop69coop Жыл бұрын
Yes I almost feel bad referencing the Citroen against it all the time but tbf , they are in the same market space and are about the same price ! Yes the little desk seat in the Citroen is definitely handy and the seat doesn’t fold up either , which was also handy in that. So private storage space is not as good but there enough space for sure. There’s much more room for the 2 passengers though , since you don’t have the uneccessary gear stick housing , which definitely gets in the way for the middle passenger. My passengers have reported being much more comfortable. I will do a proper efficient range journey and report back.
