Just an update for anyone that interested, I ye bike is currently set up 27.5 front and rear ! The mullet worked well , I fitted 160 cranks and used st unlocker to de-restrict. St unlocker is a faff with the rs motor but it is possible! However, I have ended up with a full power ep8 motor! I’m ok with this though because the battery still lasts well. I don’t know if it always results in a full power bike but this time it has , it was a faff but I got there.

I’m on a 2021 meta power at the moment and if I do long rides of 25/30 miles, Im using a good chunk of battery & mainly in eco & trail on the flats /ups…. I’m in the chilterns so its got a fair bit of climbing on the rides so thinking about a rise! I’m 14.5 stone so no whippet! You been out on any long rides yet to check out range? Great review 👍

Hi. Have you overcome the speed limit for the mullet conversion yet. I'm in the process of converting my H30 and the only think i'm going to hit a snag on is changing the software for the 27.5 rear wheel.

Considering upgrading to one of these from a Cube running the large Bosh CX motor.... I am wondering if I would find the Rise under powered? Can you run them derestricted? I see they have twin pot breaks like my Cube which I feel under powered (but the Cube is heavier).. Anything you would change on the bike and can you offer any comparisons with other ebikes you have ridden on the trails and downhill?

Are you still running the 2 piston callipers or did you upgrade to 4?

Hi, you had any luck with ST unlocker? I’m gonna pull the trigger on one of these but de restricting is a must.

Hi Jim , I actually haven’t ! I couldn’t get passed the downgrade software stage , it wouldn’t detect the old software as the new software if you know what st unlocker does ? You need to downgrade before you can change the software because it doesn’t work on the latest software. I was going to re-visit this but as it stands I’m stuck at 15.5mph !!!

Any pedal strikes with the mullet setup m8 ? & will you be doing a video on deristricting it & the differences. I'm interested to know what your actually losing when switching to the 27.5 on rear & wether you wll lose the charateristics of that Orbea RS tune on the motor if you derestrict it.

Hi Woody , well I did a few rides with the 27.5 rear and I just couldn’t get the magnet in the right place ! It was either to string or in the wrong place .., weirdly it would ride faultlessly for 20 mins and then just switch off! I put the 29 rear back in and it’s been perfect ever since so if I want to go mullet I have to get a rear wheel with a centre lock hub because as yet I have not found a solution with a bolt on disc. However, I have been riding the bike as a full 29er and actually, been really enjoying it …, I may stay 29 for now

How did you get the saddle so low. I tried to lower mine but failed. Can't even get the stem from the frame.

Hi. Got a H15 on order, arriving end of Feb early March🤞 I plant to replace the shock but need a pair of offset bushes. Offset Bushings are saying the stock bushes are either 15.7mm or 16.5mm and more than likely to be 16.5mm. What size bushes did yours come with? Thanks 👍

I will have a check , why are you fitting offset bushes ? I’m this to maintain the geometry but increase travel ?

@@coop69coop Thanks 👍 I'm planning on fitting a longer travel shock so the bushes will allow for this plus they will lower the BB height and slacken the head angle. Fork travel to be increased to 170 also

@@OldNorthern_eMTBer ok fair enough , what sort of shock might you fit ? I have a feeling Orbea will make some kind of enduro bike based on this platform soon .., why wouldn’t they ? There will definitely be a market for it

@@coop69coop I've bought an RS Monarch Plus RC3, 216x63. Also got the 170 airshaft from TF Tuned. One well known MTB mag review (who's name escapes ne 😂) said that if this bike was built around the Rallon frame then Orbea would struggle to keep up with demand.

@@OldNorthern_eMTBer As far as I know the 216x63 shock on the back needs just a 1mm offset bushing at the back end of the shock so that the shock length is increased by 5mm over the stock 210mm. Then it gives 162mm travel. Will go nicely with the 170mm fork. Which fork did you order with the bike?
