There is some stock foam in my 240 that seems to be holding moisture and causing rust. Looks like open cell foam. Found this out while fixing some rust holes. Hopefully it's an easy fix with some closed cell foam.

Would you recommend adding this to a 2025 Genesis G70 that comes with a Lexicon system that has surprisingly weak bass? I went to a local big box store and they mentioned something about noise cancelling microphones in the vehicle that a sub might mess with. Do you know anything about this?

It wouldn’t be an old Ford if it didn’t have a whiny power steering pump. The pump in my 75 F150 used to scream bloody murder when it got hot. I flushed it twice with Type F and while it still makes some noise it’s a lot quieter than it used to be.

I swapped my TPS on my 93 Bronco 5.8 and it revs up to 2k when I first start it. Then it comes down to about 1250 when idle. There is also a whistle of some type. Only when I'm in gear at a stop or light, it idles at about 900. Any thoughts?

So the gauge cluster has to match the same engine size? Wow, I had no idea. This complicates the search for my 4.9 cluster!
@MatthewFinlay2 ай бұрын
Technically yes but these tachs are so inaccurate and slow to respond you might just get away with it. The pulse count between a 6 and a 8 is soooo close - but I have not tried swapping between them.

@MatthewFinlay I suppose I will probably be the guinea pig in that case!

A gauge attached to the fuel rail is worthless. You need a gauge fitting so you can hook up a pressure gauge that has a hose long enough to see while you are driving. Your fuel pressure can be fine when idling with the hood oped and drop dramatically under power when fuel demand is high.

where's the ground support attach from core. support to framers f150
@MatthewFinlay3 ай бұрын
Good catch! I’ve done two different things - connected the wires together and run them to the ground point near the hood hinge and I’ve also simply moved them to the nearest speednut/bolt. Both trucks are still work so it seems to be flexible

This helped me fix my Ford Econoline my transmission wasn't shifting past first and I was getting some really weird idling issues both problems started at the same time so I change the trans fluid, replace the throttle position sensor and the idle air control valve now this 212,000 mi van runs like new I was having a tough time figuring out at first because there's no videos on those Ford cargo vans so I decided to look into the trucks and it's basically the same layout just with the van you got very limited access and a little bit different setup
