Thank you for the family-oriented YT posting. As a native born Utah-ian welcome to our state. If there is a ‘next time’ for you I would get reservations to do the White Rim trail in Canyon Lands National Park. A couple of hundred miles of off-roading with a couple nights of camping along the way. Primitive stuff, but your older children should be able to endure it. It is to die for. Best wishes.

@@Family4Wheelin Great to hear. We also took on HR on our last trip in a KRX-1000. Did you just go out to the overview, or did you venture up by the hot tube area? I only did the Safari route. If you went to other areas, did it get trickier? I'm going out again and want to do it again- not sure I want to get too adventurous though. The typical route, out and back isn't too bad.

Did you use primer on the van before spraying the Lizard skin on and if so what primer did you use and why did you choose it? I was going to use Por15 but read some bad reviews and that it isn't the best if you plan on topcoating, which I plan on using Lizard Skin. TIA
@Family4Wheelin
@Family4Wheelin 3 жыл бұрын
We did not prime the entire tub, only in spots where there was bare metal showing. We probably used less than 1/2 a can of primer. We used Raptor brand Acid Etch Primer.
@MrTheHillfolk
@MrTheHillfolk Жыл бұрын
Por-15 makes a "tie coat primer" so you can use whatever you want on top. Don't use lizard skin on bare metal ,it's water based and will cause rust so you need something on bare metal. Paint can just be scuffed.
