I have been a Board-Certified Massage Therapist for just over 30 years. This information was not available back in the day although some of it was hypothesized. Simply amazing work and research, and very well presented. Thank you!

Did you mean to say that some of it was hypothesized? That's the only hy-word I can think of that makes sense there.

Hello thank you for your response My Baker cyst was what pushed me over the edge to surgery it is horrible. I pray mine does not come back. I would be interested to hear if yours is back after the repair 🤦🏻♀️. Mine is my driving knee so it’s extra important. My med was meloxicam it worked but ℹ mostly used it when I needed it for sleep. My knees have arthritis so swelling is aggravated ( I’m 71). So I’m 2 months out and giving it up to 3 months of hopeful recovery Do you ever use that bamboo sleeve knee support ❓ it seems to help my other arthritic knee during the day 🤷🏻♀️so I’m thinking of using it on the bad knee 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve had this 4 times to the right knee, twice to the left. Impressive video.
@frosty_silver_fox42924 ай бұрын
Why so many times Sir? I had my right knee done 15 years ago, and now my left 2 weeks ago. When I was in my late 20'a and had my first knee done, i healed and was pain free in that knee completely within a few weeks. Alls been good. Now after having my left done recently i can't believe how slow Im healing my slightly older age.
@timmorris73274 ай бұрын
@@frosty_silver_fox4292 I have torn my meniscus again that many times. Surgeries and recoveries have all been successful, I just re-injure after time.

the photographic study realized by the team was impressive enough, there was no reason to throw in that amount of lamely used big words. Unless the objective is to sell the results to a lay and impressionable audience.

Amazing video, thank you. I was introduced to the work of Darcy Thompson in 1962 as a 2nd year architecture student, and learnt to Intuit structural forces by using my body. And later, the "tensegrity" structures of the much more famous Bucky Fuller: which make perfect sense here -- also the concept of redundancy in highly complex structures, where stress on any one component is transferred throughout the entire structure -- so you can lose a few components without affecting the integrity of the whole. Am also highly intrigued by the gel-like "4th phase" of water (GeraldPollack) and its loss from our piped water systems due to right angled bends and absence of vortical flow: which also reduces the amount of electrons present, which contributes to inflammation and ageing -- as "inflammageing". Plus the presence of acupuncture meridians within the fascia dependent on piezoelectric effects, all points to the importance of the fascia at very fundamental levels of health.

I'm having this done on my left knee medial meniscus in 21/2 mos. The ortho says I have to wait for 3 mos after the cortisone shot. I hope it helps, as it's a very painful injury. This surgery looks awfully painful, w/the scope & camera moving around. I also have a Baker's cyst, knee contusion, tissue edema & loose bodies. I'm having surgery the day before 🦃 Day. Thankfully my husband always does the turkey anyway, and, I'll just make the dressing Tues night. So no making dinner for me.!

How did it turn out for you ❓ I had this arthroscopic right knee meniscus repair on January 12,2024. It’s 8 weeks now still swollen tight not bending and night pains. Today I got a corticosteroid injection. It’s Supposed to solve the swelling s and pain. It hasn’t kicked in yet 🤞🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. The arthroscopic was super painful 36 hours after the nerve block wore off and pain and swelling has lasted 81/2 weeks so far 😢

@@wendyrodriguez5375 Hi, Wendy, Oh I'm so sorry. I had mine done Nov. 22 hardly had any swelling I could bend it right away and have great ROM. I started PT again, after 2 wks. Yes, I still have pain, especially at night. I have to have a pillow under my knee since the 1st night of the injury. I had general anesthesia not a nerve block. Did you get meds? So I guess I'm doing pretty well. My Dr. is pleased. I have a lump in back of my knee so think It;;s the Baker's Cyst again. A nightmare injury, so painful. What does your Ortho say? The steroid shot didn't work for me at all. Keep me up to date and we can compare notes, if you like.

I love the idea of this tensegrity system in the body, and "distributed force". If one part of the system is under stress it affects the entire system. Take off your damn shoes and use your feet the way your ancestors did!!!
