NATA to Unveil Results of National Survey Conducted Among Associations’

WHAT:
Passed in 1972, Title IX is a law that forbids sex discrimination in educational programs and activities receiving federal funding. Title IX was originally known as a means to ensure equal funding for women’s sports. It has since evolved and now affects the workplace and other environments as well.
WHY:
NATA, in celebration of Title IX’s 50th anniversary in June, will convene a distinguished group of allied sports and health care organizations and leadership panelists to discuss its progress and share a collective vision of where we go from here.

SURVEY QUESTION HIGHLIGHTS:
Two thousand sports and health care organization members completed the survey, which included questions about: participation in athletics; gender equity in employment opportunities, salary and growth potential; and workplace safety and support. Survey results will be discussed during the interactive panel discussion.
