When I was young, we visited our family from Yorkshire (Richmond). The area was beautiful. This is back in late 70's,80's. I always remember a day out by a river. The area was busy, with people swimming, picnics on the lawn areas. There were some dams, which were used as water slides (I think 3). Depending on current. I try hard to find this area now but bet you are not allowed to do this anymore. The stones and rocks were slippery, the current could change at any time. I recall nearly going down one of the dams being forced by the current. I swam and swam to avoid but was getting nowhere, until a man helped me out. There was lots of green area where parents would relax as if on a beach. It is a great memory though honestly.

I found very difficult to remove the bearings for the first time out of the wheel. I have the same tool to remove them but they didn't want to come out at all. I've used a tool big enough to fit inside the bearing and use the spacer to push against the opposite bearing (hammer-push technique). Does it get easier after the first time? I do have AT wheels from Ownboard. Thank you for your videos anyway.

They held up well although I would recommend Bronson G3’s or Zealous bearings. Advantage with Zealous is they have built in spacers and washers 👍🏻

when You put in bearings into street wheels, the way You do it so not quiet right as You push onto inner sleeve, applying pressure through balls onto outer sleeve, You should apply pressure directly onto outer sleeve as bearing might get damaged from excessive side pressure

Nice day out Gareth. I went to film a mates house in France. Did a great first battery, I was really happy as I landed it, I thought I had some great footage. Then realised I hadn’t pressed record🤦🏼‍♂️😂🤣

Thanks Doug. Sort of thing I do, forget to hit record! I now hit record before I take off and leave it running. That drone has since died, IMU failed in the end and I replaced it with a Mavic air. Pretty much the same specs but so much more compact 😀.

I'm discovering this in May 2018. Thanks for creating this it's really helpful. I'm in the process of deciding on an Evolve board. I notice you have a Bamboo board. Why did you pick that over the Carbon GT? And have you had an issues with the board? And what do you think of the new remote?
@GarethCalvert
@GarethCalvert 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Graeme, I got the Bamboo GT over the Carbon GT as I like the flex in the board. Street set-up is my preferred set-up and with a Carbon deck would be a harder ride ride. Although if I was to buy now I would go for the GTX (this wasn't released when I purchased the Bamboo GT) If I was going to run AT more than street I would buy a Carbon GT. I've had no issues with my board. I really like the new R2 remote, feels more natural in my hand and like the brake being on the top. Hope this helps you 😃

I have to agree!!! You are the 1st person to Actually show the wheel axel of the board of what part goes on next. You were not like everyone else (some other channels) with another person recording them & only recording their hand (in the way) or their wrist. Thank you Sir!!

So you've used the IPA on the bearings, however what happens to the existing lubricant/ grease between the bearing balls? That doesn't need to be cleaned or replaced?
@GarethCalvert
@GarethCalvert 6 жыл бұрын
The IPA will remove the old lubricant and leave the bearing un-lubricated, so you will need to apply the speed cream (lubricant) after cleaning 😀

do you have/recommend the abec 107mm vs the 97mm?
@GarethCalvert
@GarethCalvert 6 жыл бұрын
Highly recommend the Evolve F1 Abec 11 107's, really nice cruising wheel and are my 1st choice street set up. If your into sliding stay with 97's. Avoid Abec 11 'Electric Flywheel' 107's as these do not fit directly onto the evolve board and will need shaving off the inner edge on the drive wheels.

so Abec 97mm 75a will fit on evolve gt street? but i see stock wheel has written 83mm 76a? what is A stands for? any way it will fit right?
@GarethCalvert
@GarethCalvert 7 жыл бұрын
Yes Abec 97mm will fit straight onto the Street set-up. 'A' just means soft, so the Abec 75a's are just slightly softer than the Evolve 83's.
@willybilly99

just bought the wheel set but i didn't buy any other bearing i used the stock bearing that came with 83mm wheel so i notice the wheel shakes like the bearing to little small? is it small?i have to get little bigger bearing?i just worried it might wobble when on high speed
@GarethCalvert
@GarethCalvert 7 жыл бұрын
Bearings are a standard size and the evolve bearings will fit, although I upgraded my bearings to 'Bones Super Swiss 6'. A lot of other riders use 'Bronson G3' bearings.
